Oh my God! Someone gave this place a 5 star review in 2005? I need to set the record straight. We moved to Breckenridge because we fell in love with the town in 2006, and this was the first sushi place we tried.... and couldn't believe how bad it was. It's cafeteria style and the sushi is not fresh. I think locals go back there for something on the menu that the like, or their prices are lower, or something, because it is inferior sushi. We travel the world searching for the best sushi experiences, and this we went to once. We go to MFF in Breck two to three times per week. Their sushi is fresh... keep searching until you find the place. It is our favorite among only two others in San Diego and Hawaii, that is less than 24 hours old. They fly their fish in more frequently from Japan than anyone else... this place must get it once a month. No, that's cruel. But I will say that it was inferior quality sushi, and that should state the case more clearly for those who are visiting Breck. Don't waste your time or money, go where you can have some of the best sushi in the world. Our son lived in Japan for 3 years and the whole time he couldn't wait to come back. He always says that Tet is the best at MMF... I think we spoiled him with the best sushi growing up, but we agree. There are only a few places in Colorado to get really good sushi, and this is not one of them.
For the best, freshest sushi in Breckenridge, head to Wasabis. The locally owned mom and pop shop not only has the best in town, but the service is outstanding. With every visit, the owners provide the highest level of service, all the while providing tasty japanese treats, sure to satisfy your cravings. Don't forget to wash it all down with a great Japanese beer. I recommend Asahi.
