The Salt Creek Steakhouse, Breckenridge

Had breakfast twice.....waitstaff was outstanding the breakfast food selection was great. We really enjoyed the food, fresh and very tasty, and prices were great for a pricey ski town. If you are a geocacher say hi to QueenZelda (one of the waitresses)!!

party of 4, we all had different dishes--excellent food. Typical bar-type dishes, hot sandwiches, wraps, salads/soups. Good food for the $ Decor is made to look old--stone walls, lots of distressed-beams & post--fun to look at. Didn't try any, but they have many wine selections judging from the wine storage area visible from dinig room.

We visited the up-stairs portion, (Napper Tandy's Irish Tavern) it was such a fun bar we went back the next night too. They had beer pong on thursday and free drinks for ladies on friday. We enjoyed the pool tables, Foosball and several tv's to watch. A nice hang out bar with great music and decent bar food. They had booth seating and other high-top tables for larger groups. There was a nice size dance floor and even when it was busy, still seemed to have plenty of room to walk around. It wasn't too hole in the wall (like the Gold Pan) or too dance clubish (like Cecilla's), just a very nice mix for all ages of bar hoppers.

We went to dinner last week. I ordered the JUMBO SHRIMP. When it came out it was very small shrimp, which had been butterflied to try to make them look big. I sent it back without even trying it because it didn't even look good & was definitely not JUMBO SHIRMP. I reorderd the prime rib thinking I couldn't go wrong there. I had ordered medium, it came out rare & was so tough I couldn't eat it. We won't be going back!!

My boyfriend and I recently visited Salt Creek for a nice dinner on our last night of vacation. This experience was horrible. The server was new so the manager took our order. My boyfriend ordered a steak and the manager forgot to ask how he would like it cooked and tried to charge us for the potato that came with the meal. My BBQ turkey was as hard as a rock and when we brought it to the attention of the server nothing was done. Our drinks went empty through the whole meal and our bill was presented before we could order anything else. Overall, this meal was the worst we had during our trip

It was getting late our first night in town, after reading the menu posted outside, thought we would get a burger. After our party of 10 was seated, we were then told we would have to give up our table b/c the large group who was waiting for the table had finally reappeared. We would have left, that was really unprofessional! But they split up those people and let us keep the table after all. After we had ordered drinks, we were presented menus with no burgers and other higher priced food. We were informed burgers were only served upstairs, at Napper Tandy's Irish Pub. Checked the posted menu when we left and it sure looked like the menu for the whole place---VERY MISLEADING! I had grilled swordfish with rice and vegetables which was just ok. The swordfish was very salty, whole meal was so-so.
