The Absolute Best Mexican Food I have ever had!!!!!!!!! Tafolino s is Amazing; reasonably priced (except for the $2.25 they charge for a side of sour cream, though you do get enough for at least 2 people), great service and Awesome food!!!!!!!!! My fiance, friend and I met my mom and great aunt for lunch on 4-22-2012, we all had a great experience and loved the food. The shredded chicken burritos are to die for!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend Tafolino s!!!!!!!!!
The food was OK, although I was appalled at how overpriced a kids' grilled cheese was- $5.50- and didn't even come with a drink. (And it was two little slices of cheap bread slapped with a piece of imitation cheese).
I have never actually written a bad review before and the reason why I write is due to the horrible, disrespectful service. For my family, it was OK, although I never figured out who was actually our waiter. As I was standing in line to pay for our meal, I watched as a sweet little old couple came in. They did not want to sit where they were led to sit and asked to sit in a different location. As they were being led away, I watched as a group of waiters, busboys, hosts (???) made fun of them. Of course, the couple could not hear, but I could. I was appalled. Making fun of your clientele in the restaurant within earshot of other patrons? Ridiculous and completely unprofessional. Our family will never eat here again.
A disaster from beginning to end. YUCK! Queso Fundido (hot melted monterey jack cheese w/sauteed Chorizo sausage, served with homemade tortillas is what the menu said) arrived as stone-cold cheese sauce straight out of the can w/Chorizo sausage and stale tortilla chips. #2 Combo dinner was also stone-cold, with stale corn enchilada that couldn't be cut with a knife and shredded cheddar cheese was not melted. Should have been a red flag to not eat this plate of food. Burrito had the same dreadful cold cheese sauce over it (should have had green chile, lettuce & tomato). YUCK! Spicy Chix Wings were cooked frozen straight into the hot oil fryer. Flavorless (with tons on spicy sauce). Waitress kept apologizing...brought us comp'd guacamole (which was the only good thing we ate). Seems like the cook was on vacation. Everyone was very out of sorts, no one was a waitress, a busboy, or a host...they were all 3. Don't bother going! It's a waste of money and time. Jack in the Box would have been tastier - and less expensive.
This place has some of the best Mexican food for the buck. They put more meat in the food than anyplace I've been. Trust me, I'm a mexican food guy!!! Beside, there homemade chips and salsa is not only free, but good. Plus, you just can't beat the price for the amount of food!!
Went there for dinner and got the most terrible service. The sopapia I ordered was awful and not to mention overpriced. I also did not appreciate the waiters checking me out and making comments about me while I was TRYING to enjoy my dinner. They should have been doing their jobs instead. I have no intention of ever going back.
Horrible Service. Was not even too busy. Owner's wife first brought us the wrong bill, then gave us the right one but over charged us. Asked over 3 times for water. Never got it. I always ask nicely and give them the beneifit of the doubt. I did get very disappointed after I added up the bill in my head and found I was over charged $4 for the dinner after I drove off to buy some water.
Food was tasty, ambiance was good, service was okay but make sure you ask specifically if you get charged extra for certain things, because they will not let you know, can get a bit pricey depending on what you get. Overall good and would recommend.
This is the place to go for great Mexican. It is the traditional food - burritos, chimis, flautas, rellanos. You can easily go here for a work lunch and be done in an hour. service is fast and good. You know the green chili is made fresh each day because it can have a good burn one day and be really hot the next.
