DaGabi Cucina has the blend of a contemporary look and decor with the warmth and aroma of authentic, traditional Spanish cuisine. The wood brick oven brings you back in time and transports you to a wonderful meal in old Madrid .A good meal is characterized by the love of wine, fresh saffron and wood-oven baked bread. DaGabi Cucina offers a menu that ranges from the hearty fare of Spain's south, the classic cuisine of the center, and the more refined dishes of the north. All the dishes are cooked at the moment with the freshest and highest quality of ingredients, and have a tasty balance of simplicity and full flavor. Our atmosphere reflects this balance, whether you are enjoying a sophisticated dinner or a casual evening with friends. Dinner specials are served nightly.
Dagabi is a Boulder gem hidden in a North Boulder neighborhood that is far away from the loud flashy Pearl St. scene. We've been going to Dagabi for years and love it. We always bring our family in when they come to visit from out of state. The food is great and the ambiance is relaxing and elegant. Service in Boulder tends to be flakey, but at Dagabi the staff has always been genuine and the service great. They treat you like family and take good care of you. Lately though, it's been busier than it used to be and can be hard to get a table unless you call to reserve one.
I ate there last night with my son. We waited at the hostess stand for several minutes before finally being greeted (we were the only ones waiting). Once we were seated, it was several minutes before a very tall man came by, without a smile or warm greeting, to drop of water. I had to flag a waiter down to take our order and he was rushed our entire meal. The atmosphere is nice and the food was good but the overall experience was not at all special or friendly .....
