Beau Jo's has become a Colorado institution. The pizza is unique with the thick rolled crust which serves as dessert when combined with the honey served with the pizza.
I've been to five out of the six current locations. While the original one in Idaho Springs still seems to be a little bit better than the rest, the pizza is good and consistantly so. They don't hold back on the toppings and use good quality ingredients.
The staff has always treated me well and the ambiance is great with the throwback mining look as well as the napkin art from the many guests over the years. Definitely worth a stop when you're in the Denver area.
