All right but nothing to write home about

The trouble with Jerusalem is that they have masses of potential, but seem to be content with easy (or even lazy) mediocrity.
The food is okay but often bland. The chicken dishes, in particular, are tedious eating. The venue itself is looking run down and this gives it a feeling of being somewhat unhygienic.
However, some of the beef/lamb dishes are quite good, and the desserts are a favourite amongst my friends. So the seeds of possibility are there.
I think that if the building were renovated, and the hot sauce made in-house (instead of relying on Sriracha), that would be a huge step forward. Maybe being a little more adventurous with the spices would seal the deal.
There are very few 24-hour places within easy reach of Littleton, and I think Jerusalem could reach the top of the board. But, as I said: masses of potential, no meaningful investment.
