Just a friendly note to let you know , that Pho Duy is not Chinese and do not serve Chinese food. The soups they serve are Vietnamese soups. From beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetarian. These famous soups have been known to cure a hangover or help cure a cold. They can even help with sinus issues, such as a head cold or allergies. Up set stomachs or other issues closely related. With fresh garden vegetables, to the Hoisen sauce and Sriracha for a little spice. while your there ask to have a glass of their ice coffee or a flavored Boba drink. It's more then a what you expect.

Their service sucks but the food is so good that I'll just ignore the service (or lack of). The pho bowls speak for themselves. in fact, everything else which is good but not heaven good will be compensated by the pho. so good. the soup is not too salty or msg-y. I like the 3 flavor bean, minus the salty beans they put in which are not dessert beans. This place is the best pho in denver, and comparable to california. there's not much to say about a bowl of broth with noodles because it's so simple. but their execution of this seemingly simple dish is what makes the dish so good. i also have a weakness for soup + noodles combo so I'm not very impartial at all.

Pho Duy - Comfort Food: It's all about the ritual of building the perfect bowl for me. I start with your standard Pho bowl (chicken is my favorite) then enjoy the conversation with my friends while I add to my bowl. I like to push all the chicken under the rice noodles then add plum sauce and Sriracha hot sauce. I squeeze in several lime wedges, tear up some basil leaves and add those then put in dandelion leaves and sprouts. It's as much about the people you're eating with as it is about the food itself. I was introduced by friends of mine and loved it. They walked through the introspective ritual of building the perfect Pho bowl. It's comfort food, the centering act of adding the right ingredients for your mood that night and finding yourself, strangely, in a bowl of rice noodles. Maybe it's the simplicity of it all that I find so appealing. Life is busy, hectic and stressful. It's nice to focus on a bowl of steaming goodness, tweak it to your own perfection and let the day fade behind you. Top that off with an iced coffee and great friends and, well, you've got paradise. The prices are very good and the service is great. You get everything you need before your Pho gets there and if you need anything the wait staff is always in sight.
