The menus at Tamayo offer a modern interpretation of authentic Mexican food with recipes created by critically acclaimed Chef/Owner Richard Sandoval at his Maya Restaurant in New York City. Our warm decor is spectacular with amber & coral colored walls featuring exquisite artwork that includes silver encrusted toucans, silver and volcanic rock guacamole bowls & Mayan masks to keep a watchful eye over the restaurant. Tamayo is truly a unique dining experience for intimate business luncheons, dinners, social events and large celebrations as well.

Mi amiga y yo comimos por primera vez en Tamayo, Denver. Nos encanto todo, el servicio y la comidad, muy diferente a la comida mexicana de Texas. El chef muy servicial y amable se acerco a nuestra mesa a platicar con nosotros sobre el menu de los restaurantes Tamayo. Como nos gustaria que hubiera un Tamayo en Houston. Gracias.

It made my whole group sick!

4 of us went for lunch and spent the rest of the day in our hotel room. It does have a nice atmosphere, but the food is terrible.

It's better to make a reservation because always is full. Excelent menu (Pre Hispanic Cuisine) and nice ambience for a Romantic dinner. The Bar is excelent and the Margaritas are great! You pick how spicy you would like the food.

It's different from any Mexican Restaurant it has authentic Mexican dishes that have not been Americanized. The decor is wonderful, staff is great!
