My Brother's Bar
While chains dominate the Denver dining scene, this old mainstay remains a quiet local gathering place and has the rare distinction of offering no TVs. The low-lit surroundings, classical music and comfortable aged wood tables and booths offer a relaxed ambiance to enjoy good conversation and good food. The colorful chalkboard menu can be a challenge from certain areas of the bar, but the sandwiches are worth the effort. The Johnny Burger, topped with jalapenos, sauteed onions and three cheeses is a classic.
server no 3...all i knowabout her is her id number..... is mean stuck up idoit... I only tipped 10% cause she was nasty to us and she screamed across the room oh my god I cant believe this why they alllow this kind of staff working here is beyond me, she needs to retire if you hate your job so much....
This is a fabulous establishment. The staff was GREAT (THANK YOU SUSIE!), the food delicious and drinks strong. :) If you are looking for a charming, easy-going place to find good food, drinks, and customer service, this is the place to be.
I began visiting My Brother's Bar when you could choose an LP (classical of course) and discuss philosophy, ethics, politics and enjoy a great hamburger and pass away the time with friends and visitors. This place is one of my longings after leaving Denver 18 years ago. I have been there since that time but still miss it.
Awesome burgers, I tried the JCB...jalapenos and smooth cream cheese topped my burger. It was mouth-watering, and the atmosphere is very down-to-earth and friendly. I'll be back every visit I make to Denver!
This place has been for years, and if you live in the North Denver/Downtown area it's a must vist if you want to sit down take a load off, have a beer and just relax.
Its close to everything, My Brother's is one of my favorite places to have a drink for sure.
