Long considered the black sheep of Cherry Creek North Shopping District upscale entertainment district, this lively neighborhood tavern serves some of the best bar food in town. The only catch is trying to snare a table, for it is always busy. The bar serves 23 beers on tap and 50 in bottles. For dining options, try the bar's famous homemade green chili or a plate of cold pot roast with horseradish sauce. There is also a poolroom in the back.
Waited about 10 min for a table but well worth the wait! Loud and crowded...but that's how you know it's good! Onion rings were delicious! We had the smaller 1/4 burgers and they filled our appetite. Burgers were delicious, staff was friendly...Awesome place!
Have to give it an overall three stars. This is a bar folks, with the whole noisy crowd thing going on. Tables are too close together and the noise is just unbelievable.
I had the Cricket Burger, very good, but not worth going back for. We also had Jalepeno poppers, very good, but then on the way home we had some at Arby's and they were just as good. Finally we had the green chilit with pieces of pork in it. Very watery and the pork was to gag for, yuck the texture of the pork was ichy.
Looked like a college hang out and if your there to pick up a date rather than a great meal, then this is your kind of place!
Wonderful Food! I love their burgers but my favorite is the french dip. They also have good appetizers like green chili fries and mac and cheese wedges. I enjoy this place very much. It can get busy and parking is a pain but its worth it.
All I can say is, I just had what I believe is the best burger I have ever had in my life. The half pound Cricket burger, medium rare, with bacon, sliced green chiles, and hot jack cheese. I think that over 9 bucks just for the burger is way overpriced, and parking anywhere around the place is at a premium, but its kinda like Dom Perignon champagne: you can't afford to indulge all the time, but every now and then...ooooohhh baby lol
Not worth the price and the hassel. Basically I went there because I saw it on Man Vs. Food, and the host made it out to be the best burger EVER. Yeah, the burger was good, but you have to pay extra for stuff like cheese, bacon and guacamole. What?! The burger doesn't even come with fries! Seriously? I'm never going over there again, ever! If you go, be prepared to pay for alright food at a hefty price.
2 beers: 8.50
1 burger: 6.50
total: excluding the hassel and the headache, you do the math.
A Friend of mine introduced me to CC about 7 years ago.
All I can say is WOW the 1/2 cricket burger is awesome! I order mine with green chile smoked cheddar cooked medium, with a side of Frings; accompanied with a Black & Tan draft! UNBELEIVABLE!
The best in town I am hooked.
I live up north now but whenever I get a chance I stop in and consume the best burger in town.
Try my suggestion on the burger frings and B& T you will be hooked like I am!
It's hard to beat the Cherry Cricket when you're craving a burger and a beer. Their burgers are unbelievably delicious. The only drawbacks are that it's no secret about the burgers and you'll probably have to wait for a table, and there's not really a place to sit that's out of reach of cigarette smoke. But takeout is always a worthy option!
