Denver Chophouse

Description

You'll find the comfortable, warm-wooded restaurant filled with a crowd as diverse as the menu there for a special occasion or a casual gathering. The nostalgic feel, including the sounds of Big Band 30's and 40's coupled with a current menu with generous portions gives the Denver ChopHouse its approachable, yet upscale contemporary style. Handcrafted ales brewed on-site, small batch bourbons, and a fine array of single malt scotches all add to the ChopHouse tradition.

I'm a colorado local also, I've never been so in love with steak! Although the food is a little expensive it is worth the money and time! I highly state that you should go.

By far my most favorite restaurant in Denver and I am a native. Good beer great food (ie jalapeƱo cornbread yum!) before or after Rockies games or for an evening out. I sometimes wish I could to go their mashed potatoes as I awake from dreaming about them.

Great place for Wedding Reception!
By ,
Fabulous place to entertain your guests! When you compare prices of the Chop House to the cost of catering and decorating banquet halls, hotels or mansions, this is where you want to be. The ambiance is built in and the food is nothing less than spectacular. The Caboose Room opens to a patio that guests loved. I wish I had a better vocabulary to describe the waitstaff. They were very kind, pleasant, professional, helpful, and extraordinary in every way - even in dealing with our over-imbibed idiot family member. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again, or to recommend that you give them serious consideration. (I would hold off telling anyone to visit Sing Sing before or after the reception though. Although this is usually a fun place to go, their door people (bouncers?) were sleazy and too thuglike for my liking. There are much better places nearby anyway.)

Overrated

The food is good, but over priced. Not a bad place, but I think most the people who go would keep going even if they were served dog food as long as they had a chance to see a pro-athlete or local news anchor. I've had better steaks at the Keg just a block away.

Surprisingly Good For Kids
By ,
So I used to go here in my 20's with my girlfriends and hang out, drink beer and scout for guys. I never thought I'd go back with my toddler. But I happened to be back here and it's the same ol' place and believe it or not it was a pleasurable experience taking our kids there. Mom and Dad dined on a delicious dinner and the kids were served up some of the most gourmet weenies you can imagine. My husband and I'd still like to come back without the kids and I'd never take them here on a Friday night, but any other night it's a great family steakhouse with some good people watching! And no I don't think it's too expensive---you get what you pay for.
