Golden Europe Restaurant
The Moravian chef at this restaurant prepares some of the best German Sauerbraten on this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Other ethnic dishes brimming with flavor derive from Austria, Czech Republic and Poland. Accordingly, the restaurant displays central and eastern European decor making one feel as if they are dining in a NATO-inspired restaurant. Portions are pleasing in both quality and quantity, sometimes leaving little room to try one of the authentic desserts.
I don't know were this guy eat at, but i will asure you I have never had this issue at the Golden Europe. There is not a number high enough to tell the quality of service and food these guys serve. You will not be disapointed if you go here.
USER RATINGAustrian Denny's

As a experienced culinary adventurer I found this place appalling. To begin with, the service was horrid. It seemed as if our waitress had a knack for ignoring the people she served. The food was bland and the German red cabbage was more a sauce than a side. The ambience was lacking at best, the place was crowded to the brim (no clue why) and the value reminded me of a Denny's (but $5.00 more per entree). I would not return to this restaurant again, at least without a sack lunch already packed.
First time there I told Joe, the owner, that his food is exactly like my favorite Bohemian restaurant, the Bohemian Crystal on the west side of Chicago. He said BC was his biggest competitor as it was right down the street from the restaurant he owned. This was not long after his move to Denver.
I grew up with fantastic cooks in a Bohemian-German family, and have an extremely high benchmark for the cuisine. Golden Europe meets that benchmark, and I will eat there any time for any reason and recommend it, always, as one of the best restaurants in Denver.
The staff reflects a true love for the cooking and how they present it, as if they are serving their own families. NO ONE can do better than that!
I am german and have taken german family to the Golden Europe and have heard nothing but raving about the food. These guys do a wonderful job and their food is OUTSTANDING. I send anyone there that asks me for a good german restaurant in the area.
Keep up the good work!!
Our first German and Eastern European restaurant after moving to the area. For the price, food quality and amount exceeded our expecations. A next day lunch on the leftovers. Service was very good. The wait on a Friday evening was short. We are from New Orleans where good dining is expected. GER is a repeat for us.
The food here is the best German/Czech food in the Denver and surrounding area. The owner went from table to table chatting with even the largest groups there for lunch. The service was great and all the staff attending to our needs and chatted with us. Fast, friendly, and truly wonderful food at affordable prices. What more could you possibly ask for? Try it, you won't be disappointed!
This is my favorite European restaurant ever. Be prepared to wait to be seated, but it is absolutely worth the wait! My favorite is the Jager Schnitzel, it is tender and creamy, the potato pancakes are the best, and for a real treat try the liver dumpling soup! The Svickova is really tasty and the bread dumplings just cannot be beat! If you love German and Czech food, or have never had it and want to try it, this is the place to go!
If you like to try new things, this is the place to go. They have a great variety of foods, all of which are delicious. The owner is always around making sure everyone is enjoying all aspects of their dining experience. I recommend this place to everyone I know, because small business' like this one deserve to have a wider variety of customers. All around, one of the best restaurants around!
The only problem with this place is that it is closed on Mondays.
Some of the best Bavarian food I have had in the States.
The potatoe pancakes are the best, and their gravy is even better.
Can't wait to go back.
