Any one who say s that Chico s Tacos is a land mark in El Paso is right. It s like a land fill. The service and food at several of these establishments is poor and the quality of the ingredients is even worse. i have no idea how these places stay open. If a city is judged by the establishments that operate with in the city limits then ladies and gentlemen drive thru El paso on I10 and keep going. They serve expired vegetables and ingredients and i am sorry but sprinkling a little bit of cheese on top of the food does not make it edible. But i will say this if you want to eat good fast food with a flare of the south west go anywhere else. And if you find your self constipated and bloated then go to Chico s where after eating there you ll be sure to run to the bathroom shortly after. The Health department needs to close them down. Any where else in America, service , food, and appearance like Chico s would of been closed down and considered a health risk to Americans.
Look, Chico's is not about fine dining. Chico's is a cult food place. Every city has one or two. Places where people like to go. They make a very unique type of food... Chico's Tacos. They are very good as is evident from the difficulty in finding a parking space at any of their locations. They are essentially taquitos in a watery tomato based liquid with lots of cheese on top. There is only one way to eat them. Let them soak so the cheese gets soft. Then apply a liberal amount of Chico's green sauce (without it, they just don't taste like Chico's Tacos). Enjoy. My wife and I liked them so much we rode out motorcycles from Spokane, Wa to El Paso and the first thing we did was go to Chico's. Like White Castle Hamburgers in the Mid West, Chico's is THE cult food of El Paso. (And, come on people.... knock of the gay comments. This is a food review)
The worst place I've been to in El Paso! You've got to be kidding me with this place people! 2 cold taquitos in a paper bowl filled with tomato soup and cold cheddar cheese on top. YUK! I love taquitos...but this place was a disappointment. Especially after everyone was telling us we just HAD to check them out. I just don't get it. AND they won't give you your money back if you are not satisfied with your order. They are so full of themselves they don't think they have to worry about customer service. I know because the lady at the counter told me so. LOL, I just have to laugh when I think about this place.
Look, don't take my word for it...Go ahead, find out for yourself about the cold taquito tomato soup. Then come back and laugh with me. LOL
They have recently begun bannng gays from their restaurants, calling the cops on them, calling them fags, etc. Avoid this horrid, hateful place, there are plenty of other choices. If you are a true American, you would not want to be associated with this dump.
