Pelican's Steak & Seafood
For more than 33 years they have been serving the El Paso area with quality service, fresh seafood, and USDA choice beef. They offer a delicious selection of fresh fish and seafood. Pelican's "Fresh Catch" changes daily and is sure to bring you straight to the coast. Their appetizers are a great start to any meal. The steamed mussels are served sizzling on a skillet with a butter sauce and lemon wedges. They also have great Oysters on the half shell that are guaranteed fresh. Pelican's dinner menu features hand carved steaks as well as a variety of seafood entrees. They cut their steaks right in the kitchen so feel free to order any size, even if it's not on the menu. Another signature dish at Pelican's is the succulent Lobster Tail that melts in your mouth. Pelican's is known throughout the region for their superior cuisine and sophisticated atmosphere perfect for any occasion.
If you are looking for a fine dining experience to enjoy with your family then this is not for you. Sadly, this upscale restaurant has sold out to the sports game of the evening with a TV on the wall ever twelve feet in the main dining room and in the small dining room off to the side. It is loud with liquor filled sports enthusiests and knuckle dragging degenerates that fornicate in the lady restroom and grope at the dinner table. Management, aware that this is not acceptable and very offensive behavior were not willing or too afraid to exercise their right to give the contemptible filth a boot to the curb. One of their male guests urinated all over the stall in the lady's room like a feral stray. As I witnessed this unimaginable disgrace and reported it to the manager he was nothing more than apologetic. Needless to say we have no desire to return to this establishment. It is a shame because they do have a lovely menu. So, diners if you want to drop $150 on dinner and a game in a loud obnoxious environment with a peep show in the making this may be your choice. But for the same amount of money you may be just as happy at a gentlemens club. Personally, I will take my kids to the local bowling ally. Great beer and nachos to die for. And a Sgt. at Arms. My 13 daughter will have a less likely chance of running into a sexual deviant there than last night at Pelicans.
I just came home from eating at Pelican's and WOW! Their spinach and artichoke dip is the best I've had thus far. I initially ordered the prime rib and was less than enthused. I asked for it to be cooked a little longer and even then I was not satisfied. The waitress offered to rectify the situation and offered many suggestions. After agreeing on the Chicken Ranchero, not only did the Manager come by to bring the dish herself but came prior to, to offer an apology and to let me know how long it would take. The service we received was uncomprable. Their Long Island Iced Tea was the best bar none. I am just amazed by the service and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. We will definetely be visiting more often.
I used to go all the time to the old one on the gateway. So hapyp that there is now one on Trawood.
I like this restaurant better than any of the pelican's that have been in El Paso. Better lighting, more open space and a great place for a family to eat.
I live on the far west side and make every effort possible to eat at this great establishment as often as I can.
I absolutely love the atmosphere and the service is always amazing. Great music on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
I have tried just about everything on the menu, except for the escargo. Everything is exceptional.
I have read the reviews on here and find the poor review to be quite suspect. I have personally seen the female management at this establishment cater to special requests and go the extra mile on more than one occasion.
