Well just left Jaxon's and must say the commercials are deceiving, the atmosphere was not so inviting, the service was horrible and the food was lousy. We arrived to a full parking lot which turned out was being used by Carino's clients. The server saw us once and was a warm as our food wasn't. The Chicken Cesar salad wasn't a Cesar (In fact I don't know what it was) and it had a horrid after taste. The chicken was cold, my sandwich was lame and the onion rings which we didn't get with our meal because they didn't turn out right finally arrived and had been cooked in old oil and we received four (4). We had to find our server and left without eating hardly anything. Is the spinach and artichoke dip supposed to smell like a urine soaked diaper on a hot day?

Food was very tasty, looked good, smelled great! Good variety on the menu made it had to choose. Service was great too: fast and friendly! The atmosphere was rustic, country, but nice. Place was clean. It was a busy Friday night.

I can't even offer it a star but this review thing won't let you post without placing a star... This is one place we will not return to, the food was not good and neither was the service. Being new comers to this grand state was an awesome move for my wife and I, now serving 7 1/2 years in the military and being stationed here for three years we were searching for good restaurants to try out so when family came to visit. This will not be one. The salad was dry for being a cesar salad, the tacos I had were not great at all the meat inside them was old and the way I knew it was because it had an extra toughness to it, the rice seemed like it had been sitting there for a day or so, the beans out of a can. The waiter forgot about my refill and my request for sour cream and guacamole, I had to call the bus boy over to get the waiters attention since he was so busy making small talk with the waiters at the bar over a football game that wasn't too important. Very unprofessional, how do you present yourself as one name and everyone else in the place (the staff) call you by another. My wife had the chicken cesar salad, well let's just say we didn't know you needed to have a drink with every bite so that you don't choke on the dryness of the chicken. Not some where I would ever go to again.

We were very dissapionted when we (8 of us) went to celebrate the holidays at Jaxon and not one decoration of Garland or lights were up. The environment was the same as any regular day, so on my next coming family from out of town we will go where somewhere where it looks holiday cheerful. LP

I was visiting El Paso, and being a beer enthusiast I was looking forward to Jaxon's for a few months. I always enjoy getting to try a new brew. When my wife, friends, and I got there we were greeted warmly and promptly then seated. This is where the problems began. We ordered a round of the beer sampler, it took about ten minutes for the beer to get to the table, and when it arrived it was only half of our order. We waited about another ten minutes for the other half of them. Twenty minutes to get a beer is not good service. As far as food goes it was hit or miss. We ordered the nachos along with chips and salsa both were good but nothing more than that. My wife had a salad which she enjoyed. A friend had a steak which was overcooked and dry. I had the ribs which were nothing more than bone and fat, I thought I was on an Easter Egg hunt for meat. We both commented that we thought we were back at an Army DFAC after having the food. Our Service was average sometimes the waiter was prompt and friendly, others we waited long periods for service. The beer was average. The red was dry and had a sharp hopps flavor more like an IPA, and void of any traditional characteristics of a red beer. The stout was low on flavor, and bordered on flavored brown water taste. On the other hand the brown ale was very well done. After the sampler I had a few more of these. I also tried my friends light which was also very good. Overall I might be spoiled being from Milwaukee, but the beer at Jaxon's was largely disappointing aside from a few exceptions.

I've been to Jaxon's several times and have been very pleased. The food is good and I really enjoy the beers they make. I've tried a lot of beers from microbreweries, and Jaxon's is up there with the best.

I love this place! It hits our stomach right! They brew their own beer and are reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and the place has always been very clean. They have TV's in every corner so it's good for sports nights! They even have wings and beers if your not too hungry and just looking for a place to hang out. Try the green chile potato soup! MMM MMM GOOD!
