Como's serves the kind of Italian food your grandparents went out for in 1962. Heavy, rich, overwrought red sauce, fat soggy pasta, too much cheese on most things, greasy garlic bread, etc.
It seems all the Arab families started Italian restaurants in El Paso back in the 1950s. Capetto's, Como's, Sorrento's, Bella Napoli, Michelinas, etc. Most still use their grandparents old recipies..... which are not really Italian at all but New York Italian circa 1952.
Como's remains one of the better ones and is popular, but if you are familiar with a lighter, more modern style of Italian, you may be disappointed.
