The food was great! It was super delicious and the hot sauce was amazing. However, when we were checking out we saw the workers putting their fingers into the buffet line they have in kitchen and eating with his fingers. That turned us off real quick. We have not gone back since.
This restaurant is not handicapped accessible and refuses to help anyone in a wheelchair or scooter because they would be an inconvenience to the staff trying to serve regular customers. They refused to set my family, which included my brother in a power scooter until a table way in the back of the restaurant was available and out of their way. They waited on other regular customers and was very hateful to my mother and brother who were both handicapped. I even talked to the owner who was also abusive and hateful. In my opinion, this restaurant needs to either comply to ADA 504 Federal laws or be closed down and fined for their abuse. This happened on 9/12/10 at 12:00 noon.
The most authentic best tex-mex food in town, most of the waitstaff doesnt speak spanish though, so you better brush up on your espanol. Im fluent so it wasnt an issue for me, i thought it gave it a more authentic atmosphere. You gotta try the quesadillas or the barbacoa burritos, mmmmm!!!!
Finally, a place to go for a great lunch special at a decent price. Ever since I've been in Lubbock for school, I've looked and longed for a place where I can get food like at home in San Antonio. Great taste, $3.99 lunch specials are superb, good salsa, good atmosphere compared to other places with similar menus. Chips were a little stale last time I went, but not an everyday occurence. I'll definitely be back.
