Harold's Pit Bar-B-Q, Abilene

I thought they shut down last month? I was told that they werent keeping it open due to some medical issues with Harold. Ive never been but i have tried the food its really good.

What can you say, yes its a dive buy My Goodness the food is Amazing, best BBQ in town! Go for lunch you wont be sorry! If I ever move from Abilene this will be one of the first places I eat upon my return.

Since we live out of town, I needed someone in Abilene to provide some food for a berievement in our family so I asked Harold's to put together some BBQ and fixin's for the family. They did a fantastic job!

Harold's Bar-B-Q is outstanding BBQ, and I've eaten some good BBQ in Texas as well as Tennessee. It rates 5 stars in my book and I'll be recommending it to anyone that comes to Abilene. Try it you will not regret the trip. Be sure Harold shows you all the pictures of people that have eaten there.

This is the best in town no questions!!!! If you spend more than a couple of days in Abilene and ask 3 people I bet at least one says Harolds is the best in town!!!!!

I've traveled extensively (most of th lower 48 states, and almost as many countries, on 4 continents), and Harold's is the best barbecue I've ever experienced. Truth to tell, the meat itself is quite good, but nothing special... it's the SAUCE that makes the place! They actually sell it by the jar, and I try to pick some up whenever I pass through Abilene. There are also some unique and delicious sides, as well - standard BBQ sides are present (the potato salad is particularly good), along with a very unique and delicious cornbread, both regular and jalapeno. Don't miss this place - it's amazing.
