The menu may be broader than the burgers, but the burgers are what sets this place apart. There are 20 varieties in all, based on a thick, juicy patty medium cooked. Burgers range from the simplest one-patty version to a double-meat buffalo burger with all the trimmings. As for sides, the onion rings are an option. For those who want their beef sans bun, they offer savory chicken fried steak, cooked tender with gravy that's not too thick and not too drippy. Whatever you order, be sure that you ask for lots of napkins.
since moving here to austin, we couldnt find homemade burgers like mom use to make. we found HUT'S and it reminds me of home. try the grilled onions on a dagburger. its great. the service and staff are nice. you will be hooked when you stop here to eat. everyday is a special. wednesdays are 2 for 1...go and enjoy
Hamburgers a good and big! Get there early on Fridays because the place gets packed. Its not fancy but a comfortable place.
recommend: Veggie burger with a side of green beans instead of the french fries.
Pros: Good food! fast service! Great milkshakes!
Cons: Gets very crowded - need to arrive early.
ps: do not eat their chicken sandwiches
Hut's is the ultimate burger lover's hangout: awesome burger baskets and shakes, friendly staff and decades of atmosphere. There is always a crowd but the wait is worth it, so try to go during off-peak hours if you want a lesiurely meal. You won't find a better burger in town for the price!
The meat is the finest in Texas and they have a wide selection of burgers to choose from. In my opinion, the best thing to do is to get a sauce on your burger (bbq or hickory). The milkshakes are also very very good.
A great exprience, good burgers, great onion rings and awesome shakes. The service was better then most places in Austin the price was reasonable and I will be back. Be prepared to wait, but it is well worth it.
A great 6th street venue, Huts has great burgers, even the Buffalo burger! The onion rings are the best in Austin and way more than one person can eat. Park along the street if the small lot is taken. Always crowded, but the wait is never long.
