My husband and I liked the hot and sour soup BUT - the beef in the Hunan Beef was soft and slimy - very strance texture. We didn't eat most of it. The sweet and sour chicken had old tasting chicken. We won't go back.
My daughter and I visited this place after checking out a sale at Faradays in Lakeway before heading to more shopping at Old Navy and felt a bit rushed.
Of course, we did arrive about 30 minutes prior them closing for the lunch crowd; however, you would think guests are guests are guests and should all be treated equally and with just as much respect and grace as provided to those prior or after them.
The waitor rushed us in our ordering and was abrupt in picking up the menus from our hands, as well as generally abrupt in his mannerisms around the table. He lacked the grace that we expected to see in the Chinese enivronment.
We were also disgusted with the mustard and sweet/sour sauces having been left out on the table. The mustard definately appeared to have been out there (probably since the beginning of their day at that restaurant today).
I had heard soooo many good things about this restaurant in the past from others; however, from the experience today, it would certainly give one pause to think what were they basing that upon!!!
