This cozy neighborhood eatery is a well-kept secret among the Austin dining elite. The chef lines up a delectable menu of fine Italian favorites that has kept the whole city talking. The service at Vespaio is pleasant and the prices are reasonable. The wine selection is extraordinary with 30 wines by the glass from which to choose. Dessert options average USD8 in price, but are well worth the indulgence. The wait for a table has become legendary, but the food more than makes up for it.

I have eaten all over the world and all over Austin. This was one of the best meals I have had in Austin in the 33 years I have lived in Austin. The management and wait staff are exceptional. The "just made" cheese is fabulous. The brisket is by for the best in Texas. My wife's amberjack was strong just like it should be. Do yourself a big favor and dine at Vespaio. P.S. Pay no attention to the putz who knocked this place!!!!

My friends and I ate here for the first time recently and I already cannot wait to go back! The wait staff is incredibly nice and very helpful. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable on the wines and helped us pick the perfect bottle to please all of us. We ended up ordering a salad to start off with (which was one of the best salads Ia(TM)ve ever had) and then shared the lasagna. The lasagna was so rich and wonderful a" I definitely recommend it!

small restaurant that doesn't take reservations.that sentence usually makes me run the other way.glad i didn't on this one.beautifully prepared italian food.love the veal.go early and during the week,but go. you'll be glad you did.
