Texas Red's Steakhouse, San Marcos

Went last night had the a steak it was great and my wife love the veggie`s. We spent 80.00 with tip and it was a great way to celebrate my wife`s b-day. Will go back and take as many people with us to enjoy a hidden treasure in San Marcos.

Seems like every time we eat here they do something to impress us. Of course the food is always excellent, but the service is really exceptional. The staff is always friendly, and eager to go obove and beyond. Thanks!

I have been going to Texas Reds off and on since 2002, and while the prices have gone up the overall quality has gone down. I last had the prime rib, which was very good, the quality and taste of their meat has remained high, but the side dishes and service has diminished. The salads are uninspired mounds of iceberg lettuce with one cherry tomato and a green pepper strip. My mixed vegetables were nothing more than over salted squash and cooked onions. For almost $25 a plate you should expect more.

Great ambiance and service. Prices are very fair. Best dinning experience we have had in a while.
