Just a quick note that this review is about 'Cinemark Movies 8 - Lewisville, TX' theatre. I say that because I am not sure what movie theatre some other reviewers are talking about. The Cinemark Movies-8 is not a dine-in place, a draft house or located in a warehouse district. It is located at 420 Oak Bend Drive, Lewisville, TX by the Vista Ridge Mall.
Now the review:
This is an EXCELLENT theatre. Nice, clean, well kept inside out and just a great place overall for families. I have come here for the last six years and totally love it. This place stays very busy all year long and in my observation most of the people who come here are families, young adults or teens. Because of this the theatre always has a good selection of movies for kids and adults.
Before I found this place I used to go to AMC 30 in Grapevine and pay full price for the movies! But not anymore. If you can wait a couple months most new movies will come to this theatre for you to see at a discount. Two months may sound like a long time to wait, but once you get in the rotation of movies you won’t feel it. Every week I watch a new movie and it doesn’t bother me that it was released one to two months ago.
The ticket prices are $1.00 before 5 PM, $1.75 after 5 PM, $1.00 all day Monday (senior day) and $0.50 (50 cents) for all day Tuesday. And as you would guess, this place is usually packed on Tuesdays so if you are planning to go, get there atleast 20 minutes before the movie starts to get a good seat. Also, a lot of kids and teens come here during summer months so get there atleast 30 mins before movie show time during summer months. There is a nice concessions stand where you can buy the usual movie theatre foods (popcorn, drinks, nacho-cheese, etc) and also a game room for kids. Think of it as low end ‘game-works’;-) Overall this is a great place for low cost family entertainment and I love it!
This place is so cool! u eat dinner while u r watching a movie!! oh and i recomed u se-
Enchanted- animated fairy tale people get tossed into the live acton world of New York!
i give enchanted ***** five stars out of five stars!!!!
it is funny and has a sweet ending plus the effects are cool!
The Game Plan- a full of himself football player finds out he has a daughter!
i give this movie ***** five stars!
SOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY and it is sweet and sad but has a good message and a happy ending!
I like the Draft house because it is an Austin style theater. The theater is located in the warehouse district so you can eat at a fine restaurant, go dancing, or check out a movie. The place has only one theater room that is old and warn in appearance. The reason why most go to the Draft house is because it plays not just new movies but all movies. They offer video karaoke, food, alcoholic drinks, and non alcoholic drinks. They have the place sit up so you can order food like burgers, pizzas, salads, and nachos at a fair price not any thing like a regular movie theater. This is the reason for there success is because you can enjoy a dinner, drinks and a movie for under $20.00 compared to medium popcorn, drink and a movie for the same price. Check out there web site to find out what movies are playing.
I thought places like olive garden,el torito, and mimis cafe were great places .but the alamo drafthouse cinema is far greater place than any of those other resteraunts.I like the service the best because of the remotes on the seats and you when you just press a butten a drinks or food comes your way that way ypu don't miss any part of the movie. And the drafthouse is afive star place. the end
What can I say this more likely hasn't already been said. Excellent place and you can't go wrong at any of their locations. And of course you have to visit the one Downtown everyone once in a while. They alone are changing how we experience movies.
This is a great place to go for a good movie. I love that they show independent films at this location. They always have the unusual. We love to go and enjoy some good food and watch a great movie. There are two locations...but this one truly is the best. I also love that they don't allow children, what better way to enjoy a good dinner and a movie date than at the Drafthouse. Not to mention the ability to drink a nice glass of wine while watching...It's better than staying in!
Great theatre, great concept. You come in, get a menu, get great juicy burger and fries. You can even sit back and enjoy some beer. I quit, so not so much. They have videoke, like karaoke, but with movie scenes. I'd like to go, but haven't yet. Overall, it's my favorite theatre out of all I've been too, 'cept the IMAX in Dallas I went to when I was younger. I love those theatres.
What a great place to sit back, relax with dinner (or a drink or two) and watch a movie! They always have guests (I got to see Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite) and a great selection of movies. Try videoke, midnight movies, or sing-a-longs. Definitely try it out if you've never been - you'll be hooked. :)
