El Barquito Oyster Bar is a friendly environment with excelent service. Its food is superb. Its food surpasses all top resaurants up north. Its atmosphere is family oriented, and it is a great place for an executive meeting, or a get together. I particularly Love the way they make their shrimp coktails just perfect. I was there last year and ordered a dozen of the fried oysters. They favorably compared with great places like Bish Tompson's in Washington DC, Water Street Restaurant in Corpus Christi , Felix's in New Orleans and the old Christie's Restaurant in San Antonio, and -- and the prices, lower than all of them!! Good eating at lower prices. Worth a stop to anyone traveling to and from McAllen to Laredo Hector Hugo Gonzalez San Antonio, TX
