Aka Japanese Restaurant, Corpus Christi

The food was good ACCEPT I got FOOD POISONING not even 20 mins. later. So BEWARE of the SOUP because that was what my boyfriend & I had before we got sick. Plus the prices were too high for lunch.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. Plastic table clothes and black light posters. lol. The sushi though is very fresh. The Ecstasy Roll and Volcano Roll are the bomb are fantastic. The place is not expensive and the staff is very nice. We will continue to go there when we need our sushi cravings filled.

Aka Downtown has THE BEST korean dish in Town such as Bul go gi (marinated beef with korean BBQ sauce) and Bi bim bap or mixed rice (steamed rice topped w/ sauteed and seasoned veg, sliced marinated beef, and fried egg).

Best place for sushi, hands down. Even non-sushi lovers can find some "sushi" without fish, that is to die for, like tempura vegetable sushi and more. Gotta love it here!

The sushi at Aka Japanese Restaurant is great! All of the fish is very fresh and the waitstaff is very friendly and helpful when your ordering. They don't act like your an idiot when your not real sure what or how to order. Thanks Aka.

The Sushi here is awsome... they have the freshest sushi in town by far! I recommend the Everhart location's Hibachi cooking or their Aka Tower!

This place is amazing. My husband and our friends go here whenever possible. No other sushi restauraunt measures up.

This is for the Everhart location...let me start by saying the service was SUPERB! The sushi we ordered was average( house roll and tempura roll). We sat at a regular table so did not experience hibachi grill show, however, the food was good but again average and I have definitely had better. The atmosphere was quiet though and again, excellent service. Not bad

Love the soup, the Las Vegas rolls are awesome. The food does take a while to receive but it's worth it.
