Ate there 2 weeks ago with some friends and had bad experiences. They did not have a reservation we had made 2 days before. Finally got a table after waiting for 15 min. Service very slow and food is just average. What I ordered was not cooked right, too.
Before this experience, had been about 3 - 4 years ago. Ate here this past Sat. over Labor Day weekend with 2 friends. Management is very rude ( come across like they have the best thing going there). Service was bad and food so so. We had to wait a very, very long time to get our main entree (like over an extra 30 min.) Will never go back. This place should not even be in business as far as I concerned.
This was our first time in Rockport. We asked our hotel staff for the place locals go to eat good seafood. They recommended Latitudes. And off we went for dinner our first night here.
This was far and away the most disgusting food we have ever paid for.....at any price point short of a dollar menu. I had the daily special of stuffed shrimp. I received 6 shrimp for $26 that was stuffed with something that tasted very similar to Stove Top Suffing. The rice pilaf that came with this meal tasted very similar to Rice-a-Roni (the cold version). My wife had shrimp over angel hair pasta. The shrimp were cold and so tough that we contemplated bouncing them off the floor to see how high they would go. Skipped this idea as we didn t want to cause any other patrons serious injury should they have been accidently hit by one of these shrimp. Furthermore, the angel hair pasta was so overpowered with seasoning that my wife could not stomach more than two bites.
This site has many good reviews for this restaraunt. If you look closely, you will see most are from many years ago. Obviously, something has changed for the worst at this place.
Service was decent, but would rather have good food and crappy service than what we experienced. The one-star rating is for the dinner salad , which was pretty good. If it wasn t for that, no stars would be warranted.
By far the best place to eat in the area! Yes, it is a little pricey, but well worth it. The service is excellent and the food IS enough to write home about. Everytime I go, I have something different and end up with a new favorite. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know.
My wife and I wanted to get out of town for her birthday dinner, we decided to go to Rockport. We could not have been more pleased with our service and meal! We decided to make it a monthly dinner date because we cant wait to try the other item on the menu!!
What a delight on our first trip to Rockport! We were there in the off season, and had the place to ourselves at the start of an early dinner. Take a moment to look at the website, which is a tasteful and compelling as the restaurant itself. The ambiance is inviting, the food at least as creative and delicious as we are used to at home, and the presentation elegant. We will be sure to eat here on every return visit.
