Sorry to say Yahoo forced me to give this place one star, absolutely horrible food. Never have I walked away from a $160 tab at an oceanside restaurant and been so irritated. The oysters were available, but not very fresh and not shucked properly. But the real horror was when my flounder etoufee came out of the kitchen. Canned tomato sauce and rubber crawfish tails over my fish.....nasty. The best part was sitting on the gulf, and being told the fried fish of the day is imported from Alaska. How about serving some local redfish or trout? And come on.....instant potatoes and frozen veggies? This place needs a visit from Restaurant Impossible.
Second time to eat here and both times the food was good but a little pricey. Blackened flounder w/etouffee sauce was excellent. Waiter was ok, not to big on someone putting gratuity on my check. I enjoyed the open air experience. Definately will go back.
been here a few times on vacation - different trips. i come here once a year to port A. The food has always been excellent! Their lunch special of some fish coated in a cracker coating served on garlic rice and zucchini is to die for! I will be visiting in 3 weeks! Can't wait to go here!
My parents have a condo and they come 2 or 3 times a year and can't rave enough about the food!
The food is phenomenal. It's like they went to personally catch it and cook it. The Tuna was delicious. My husbands fish and fries was outstanding. Even down to the the french fries.....the food was flawless. Victor was our waiter and he was very good. The wait was very long and people were seated before our party that got there after us, but that good food made it alll worth it. If you don't like eating outside....then this isn't the place for you. It is an open air restaurant and my husband complained about the heat the wholllllle time. Restrooms are a sauna since no A/C. Won't eat there again...but will order take out and eat in presence of my own air conditioned condo :)
Terrible food, my wife I and expected so much more from an established restaurant. Calamari was rubbery, ice cream scoop mash potatoes were dry and terrible. Wife took two bites and she was done. Pricey for terrible food so much for trying something new. We visit Port A frequently and will not being go back here. Still cant get the taste of those potatoes out of my mouth.
Great location - beautiful view of the bay. However, prices are high and the food isn't very good. Some of my food was luke warm at best. The only thing notable is that thier margaritas are quite good and they have a descent sized bar compared to most restaurants on the island.
