Mamma Mia's, Corpus Christi

Not sure how anyone can give less than 5 stars on this place!! The food is excellent and the service has always been good for us. I will agree it's a little pricey, so for us it's not an every day event, but for a special occasion it really makes it the moment extra special.

I will on no account eat at this place again, we had a unpleasant experience, the food tasted as if it was out of a box, the service was lousy, I never saw our waitress once our food order was placed, it took 55 min to get our unsavory food. A girl refilling our drinks advised us only two cooks had showed up, that was the reason for the delay. Upon entering the restaurant, we were not greeted by anyone, (it was dark & gloomy) had to wait for about 4 mim before being seated. (the place was empty with the exception of 1 party). I have eaten in numerous places around the world, so I'm able to make a comparison, between truly delicious food and low grade quality ingredients. Besides my family owned a restaurant, therefore, I know about the restaurant industry, I have a feeling they won't be around very long. And yes, a grey haired man was fixing to light up a pipe, until I complained & he refrained. What a horrible dining experience. Don't eat there. IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!

Absolutely NOT!!! We were so disappointed. Waiter gave us 2 specials, then we heard 5 given to the next table. When questioned, he insisted he told us about all of them. We asked if salad came with the meal, he said he would get us salads, then charged us $11. We asked for a caraffe of wine, he said they didn't have caraffes, but we saw one at the next table. He brought a jug of wine, said it was on the "honor system", never asked how many we had and charged for 1 too many. Worst of all, the manager was strolling from table to table with a lit pipe. When we asked about the smoking policy, he laughed and said "Who's smoking?" We couldn't wait to get out of there. Maybe they just hate tourists.

Okay I am the pickest eater in the world. I am a meat and potato eater like my husband said. Well I ate the best meal here. I would recomend this restaurant to anyone who loves Itallian food it is so good. Not to mention the wine and all the deserts it was great. The owner is fabulous you will love him his staff is great also.

My mother and father spoke highly of this restaurant and I had to venture in to experience everything for myself. While the building and decor is mediocre, the food is delicious and given in large quantity. The staff was very kind and accommodating. When my husband and I go back to CC, and want some good Italian, we'll definitely come back.

They are right. This place was great. One of the finer places to eat in Corpus and would be great for loved ones. Kinda expensive for Corpus ($18.00-30.00 per plate) but worth every penny. The service, large portions, and suprises make up for the price tag. Take your date here if you want to impress.

I heard this place was the best and serve alot for the money. It is a little pricey, but well worth it. I plan to check this place out soon. It is located downtown near the police station and is easy to get in and out of into traffic.

I'm not going to ruin this review with boring details. Lets just say, all you need to know, is that if you haven't tried this place- YOU ARE NOT LIVING. THIS IS THE ONLY ONLY place you should EVER visit for italian cuisine. Excellent everything, you are truly family here. Worth paying for this EXCELLENT type of experience.
