LA Playa Mexican Grille, Port Aransas

If you like La Playa in Corpus Christi, you won't like this. The cheese is processed and gross. The menu is not the same as La Playa in Corpus Christi and the food is gross. We were not impressed with this restaraunt food at all. The waitress was nice and said they are not affiliated at all with La Playa Corpus Christi. I didn't tell her we weren't happy with the food, it's not her fault it's not the same. We still gave her the appropriate tip, We just won't go back again. Don't come here if you want to eat good mexican food.

No atmousphere at all. It was like waliking into a very old Dairy Queen and yet they demand the prices of upscale restraunts. The hard copy menu was all drinks. The food menu was on a piece of paper, and had high priced items that really were not that desireable. There are many better around the Coastal bend for certain.

Wonderful, fresh mexican / seafood meals. Nothing fried. Order something with lump crab, they serve a large amount. Of course, have a margarita. Any place that has dozens of tequilas, will serve a good margarita. This is my wife's and my favorited mexican restaurant in Texas. We make sure it is open before we schedule a trip to PA.
