The great international flavor...comes from the two owners. Both world travelers that have brought their experience into creating a great little hidden treasure. The restaurant sits on the gulf side of Ocean Blvd...a small yellow house serves as the building itself, with an adapted closed in deck for additional seating. They have an outside deck which was closed due to weather which overlooks to Gulf. Reservations are helpful..call first...I added another person to my party...and this delayed us getting a table. (Arrived at 18:45) But...we hung out side next to the house in some nice wooden furniture overlooking the water. They served us drinks and were in the restaurant in no time. Food wise...I was surprised at the prices...entree's range from $20 to 30 bucks...a bit high for what I would think is Corpus Christi...no offense...I played it safe and eat their fried shrimp...which did not taste any better than Sam's Frozen Shrimp. Warm french bread, along with a green salad comes with the entree. Deserts were fine...but not outstanding. The staff pretty young women and men. Our waitress had 3 tables sat at the same time so she was a bit frantic..but calmed down after she got control of them. For those of us that are tired of the corporate chain restaurants looking for a mom/pop home grown restaurant...I highly recommend them. I ended up paying about 42 bucks for one person...no wine or drinks...just the shrimp, soup/salad and desert. I hope you enjoy your experience there.

The food was extremely saltly, So salty I couldn't eat it, but they took it off my bill. The waiter was great and the salad was amazing. The resturant itself was charming, great for a second date. Dont order the crap cakes, bad news!!! Otherwise great place, would definitly recommend it. Kinda pricey but if you wanna look like a big shot take a date here. Good place

Fantastic. The best restaurant in Corpus Christi. 11/06/09 was my first visit. I have lived in Corpus 5 years. The service was excellent; we had a server that looked like a Greek God, a wonderful accent and was perfect The Market seafood was broiled Black Drum. Outstanding and Fresh It is now our favorite place. It was just romantic enough. Wine just right. Atmosphere great for a conversation. 5 star in every way

I've lived in Corpus Christi for 6 years and tonight was my first visit to Yardarm. What a shame! This is now my favorite local eatery. The food is outstanding. Extensive wine list. Very courteous staff. Great view of the bay. If I had to find a downside it would be something trivial like I made a reservation at the last minute so we had to eat on the deck and it was a little windy. Make a reservation in advance and eat indoors, it's beautiful. The look from the outside is decieving.

We ordered several appetizers ,escargot, crab stuffed mushrooms, ceviche, and oysters rockefeller. Everything had Hollandaise sauce on it! and very poorly presented. The stuffed flounder had bones, and was a poor cut of fish. The fried oysters, were limp and had some unrecognizable seasoning on them. The Lobster had too many flavors to cover the fresh taste it should have had. At last the cheesecake tasted dry from age in the refrigerator.

As a girl growing up in Corpus Christi, I always knew about the Yardarm. My first time to have dinner there was the night of my Senior Prom. The prom was a let down, but the dinner couldn't have been better. I have not lived in Corpus for many years now, but have returned to the Yardarm when we visit many times. It is still absolutely amazing. I had a lovely pecan crusted fish and a crisp, wonderful salad. The wine selections are wonderful and the view rivals any I've ever seen in the world. I have not been able to go to Corpus Christi this summer, but am sure that the Yardarm is on my list of things to do.

This restaurant is an awesome gem of Corpus Christi. I've always seen it and thought no way that couldn't be a restaurant. My coworkers from Austin loved eating there and I went along with it about a month ago. Lets just say the food is to die for. The service was awesome....drinks were good...we had every appetizer on the menu followed by the group sharing three desserts. I can vouch for the appetizers and desserts. I'm sure the rest of the menu is also incredible.

Don't let the outside fool you. This restaurant is so damn good. The food is great, the service magnificent and the waitresses are beautiful. A co-worker and I conducted a yahoo search for "restaurants" along ocean dr. We seen the review and said we had to try it. That user review was right on the money. At first glance, from the parking lot, the place doesn't look so hot. It's a diamond in disguise. I dunno if it was family owned and ran, but it felt that way. The staff was very professional too. The food was so delicious. I literally savored every bite. I had the shrimp newburg and my co worker the snapper papillote. We both, very much enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere is awesome as well. Its a water front place so the view is nice. I don't really know what to say, so that this is a place you go to. But know that if you are in Corpus, with time to dine well, and you don't go to The Yardarm, you are missing out.
