Used to come here for lunch a lot because it’s near where I work. They would let me order the kid’s meal because I just wanted something small and I didn’t see the point in getting more food that I was just going to leave sitting on the table. A month later the policy changed and said well you can still get the kids meal but now you have to pay for an upgraded drink cost of $1.00. I thought ok fair enough, I’m not 12 or under so I can still get the food and now I get a bigger drink. Well today I went back ordered my usual and now they charged me an extra 1.30 plus an upgraded drink charge. I looked at the ticket and it said “Adult Kids Meal”. …Ok, so maybe they are going to charge me more now but give me a little more food since it’s the adult’s version, like Burger King offers. Well, I was wrong, they expected me to pay more for my food and drink but give me a lesser amount than in the original child’s meal! So they took away the cookie, gave me the same size burger, less fries, and made me pay separately for my drink. And the kicker is that they were still giving the cookie but only to 12 and under….if I am paying more for my meal shouldn’t I still get at the very least the same amount of food!!!! I let the manager know how I felt and that I only ordered the kid’s meal because it’s the right amount of food for me… he tried to explain that because they were giving me the option to order the kid’s meal I had to pay more for it and get less! Then he tried to say that I could have just ordered the larger combo for about the same price ($3.50 more is not about the same in my mind!) I understand it’s a business and prices are going up everywhere but there’s a principal issue here, a blatant attempt to rip off the customer! They should have just taken away the option to order a child’s meal all together rather than do this and not even inform me of the charge when I ordered it! I won’t ever go back to this place, although the food is good, they need new management. Their prices are way too high, no lunch menu, so you pay $11 or more for a 1 /3 burger and fries….just go to Wendy’s instead.
