I don't know what these negative reviews are about - but ANYBODY can write ANYTHING on the internet. Ruben's has been at this location for decades, and they're a really good blend of a good-seasoned tamale and neither too dry or greasy.
There were other companies in town, who have flourished, by mail ordering their nasty, greasy, machine made (marbled-the meat is showing through the masa), but Ruben's has managed to make possibly the best local tamales. If you don't believe me, try Delicious or Adelitas.
