Rosario's

Description

Located in the heart of Southtown, Rosario's is packed every night. It can pack in even more now that they are in a larger (but just as lively) location just a block from where the restaurant used to be. Sip on a perfectly crafted frozen Margarita as you enjoy enchiladas, carne guisada, pork tips and so much more. Do not miss Rosario's on Friday nights, when it offers entertainment by some of the best bands in South Texas. Get there early to snag a table and enjoy dinner, then prepare to dance yourself silly.

This is my all time favorite mexican rest. in SA! They have the best salsa, and my food is always served hot! They also have some of the best margarita's, strawberry is my favorite! I would highly recommend this place!!

This is NOT authentic Mexican food. The place is horribly loud and the food is overpriced and mediocure at best. I have been 4 times and have been horribly disappointed each time.

The Absolute Best in SA
By Foodie, 11/25/07
Rosario's has the best mexican food in town! For an appetizer you can't go wrong with the ceviche, it is always fresh and full of flavor. My favorite entrees are the tacos suaves and the steak ranchera, they're great!! If you have room for dessert then try the crepes...mmmnn! There can be a wait for a table on the weekends but the time passes quickly when you are having some of their delicious margaritas, the mexican handshaken and the tuna margarita are my favs. It's the best!!

Rosario's Salsa Now: Excellent food. Very loud restaurant though. Definitely a party restaurant and not an intimate date restaurant (unless you enjoy yelling at your dat) Pros: Great Scene, Food, and Drinks Cons: Loud, Loud, Loud

.I live out of town so have only eaten at Rosario's one time, but was quite disappointed. The food was almost tasteless in my opinion and served not hot but luke warm. The salsa was not nearly as good as I expected due to the big build up by folks on the net. I will stick to tomato based salsas. I don't plan on returning. There are too many good resturants in SA to accept this kind of food.

Lisa Wong should come back and devote more attention to her fine restaurant. The food used to be much better when she personally blessed each dish as it went out. I go quite often to Rosarios because I still like the food and noisy atmosphere, but I have not seen Lisa on premise in years. Fish tacos used to be sensational, but I'd avoid them now and stick with a bowl of their wonderful Fideo soup or a plate of Enchiladas Mexicanas.

Viva Rosarios
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/18/07
The absolute best salsa in San Antonio. Cold beer and good chips. Great menu selection and the food would be worth it at twice the price. The serving staff is definitely up to the task and you never feel rushed. I've been going to Rosarios ever since they were located down Alamo street from their current location. It is absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Antonio and I've lived here for over 50 years. You may find a better this or that at another Mexican restaurant but to put it in San Antonio terms, you get the whole enchilada at Rosarios!
