THE COVE, San Antonio

Love this place! Great food and unique atmosphere. I always get a different menu item when visiting the cove. LOVE their carrot cake. pros: good food cons: none that I can think of! :)

My family and I tried The Cove because of their gluten free options. I had the 09er Burger and it was exceptional. There is a playground to keep the kids occupied and good a food/drink selection for the adults. We will definitely go back.

Good food and fun atmosphere. I was in San Antonio for a conference, but felt like I got a genuine Texas experience at The Cove. Tried a Lone Star beer and a Tecate.

Poor customer relations. Food is average, very average. Eating at the Cove is like purchasing Avon from a friend. Employees are all rude. What up with the Family Band? Truely a disaster! I guess thats the best band they can book for a Friday night? Attempting to sell CDs and ask for tips while you eat is pretty sad. This is my 3rd visit, mostly because my boyfriend know the server, sure we get free food while the server keeps the cash, but still, the food is just ok. I'd give the Cove 3 stars but man, that old lady singing made my stomach cringe!!!!!

Fantastic food, locally grown, organic, can't beat that. The whole place feels like family. Great beer selection, wine too. Playground for the kids. Live music that starts early enough for the kids to enjoy too. The bands that play at the Cove are the best acts anywhere in town everything from jazz, big band, rock, blues, country, to singer songwriter. The cover is usually small if any and if you don't care to hear the band you can opt out to eat on the patio or near the playground to watch the kids. Everybody is friendly and a good time with the family is what it's all about.

I'm sorry, I have been there twice, once to try out and forced the second time. The food was just as bad as the first time. I've seen the Diner, Drive In & Dive show portraying a full house and a line out the doot but both times I was there(Friday and a Saturday) the place was almost empty. Will never go back again.
