MAN THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES IVE EATEN A CHICKEN FRIED STEAK WITH GRAVY SMOTHERED ALWAYS FRESHLY MADE WHICH I IS VERY RARE COMPARED TO NONE THE FRIED FISH IS AWSOME TOO THE ONLY PLACE TO DRINK THE BEST SHINER SCHOONER HAHA DEFINITELY ONE OF THE BEST FORGET ALL THE NEGATIVE PEOPLE ALL THEY WANT IS A SALAD THATS WHY AND THEY DONT EVEN DRINK PROBABLY HAHA THEY PICK A RESTRAUNT BY LOOKS NOT BY QUALITY OF FOOD THIS IS DEFINITELY THE BEST CHICKEN FRIED STEAK IN SAN ANTONIO IVE TRIED TEN DIFFERENT PLACES AND THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST SO FAR WOW

M.K. Davis has amazing food. Serving a delicious broad range from nachos, to enchiladas, to burgers, to chicken fried steaks, to ribeye steaks, to hamburger steaks, to their infamous fried pollock, and of course their even more famous 32 oz SCHOONER! They even added a couple of new plates to the menu including the Grilled Chicken Salad for $6.95 and the new Grilled Chicken Plate which includes a large piece of grilled chicken breast, rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and (2) tortillas all for only $8.95. They even recently updated their restrooms and the entire addition is BRAND NEW and they have redone their floors also. They hadnt been updated since the 70s. They are moving with the times slowly but surely but the food and prices are staying just the same. Overall this place is amazing and fantastic!!! A must visit for locals and visitors!!! Have one of your friends take you to MK SOON!

Love the house wine! Nachos are great appetizers,Plates are always good, as for the hamburgers you need to tell them how you want it cooked! Or you will get it medium rare! I dont like that there is not enough tables they need to have more tables and too pack the wait is long. 2 hrs? Really? You get served faster at any restaurant on the Riverwalk!

I HAVE BEEN COMING HERE SINCE I WAS SMALL, AND THEN WHEN MY 3BOYS WERE SMALL, AND NOW I'M A GRANDMOTHER AND STILL COME HERE. ALSO WHEN I BRING ANYBODY THEY ALL KEEP COMING BACK WITH THEIR FAMILY OR FRIENDS. MUST BE GOOD. HAVE A SCHOONER AND CHILL..

This place is classic...love the food, service, and scooners! Try the alaskin polac..good size plate for one..=]

I love this place!! I go there with both my husband and kids for family night or just hang out w/friends for happy hour. The beer is nice and cold BUUUTTT I have to recommend the Homemade's they serve. Its kinda like a sangria wine mixed with 7up in a large schooner topped off w/salt and a lemon, it is awesome not to mention the food, whatever you get it's all good!! Ask for Maria next time you visit I think she is the most awesome waitress.

This was a really disappointing Sunday afternoon for me and my girlfriend. it was even worse since i was the one who picked this place. lol While i will admit that my girlfriends chicken fried steak was fair, and the onion rings were good. my sirloin was one of the worst steaks Ive ever had in my entire life. it was very bland, seasoned with what only seemed to be pepper. The sides were not any better....soggy fries and a poor excuse for a salad. literally strands of lettuce and a slice of tomato. lol service was not much better than the quality of food. our waitress just looked like she was having a long day and did not want to do anymore that bring us our order. Im not saying that i was expecting 5 star service in this place but she did not take the initiative to refill out drinks, bring us silverware, or to go box. ohh yea one last thing...this place is kinda compact so don't be surprised is they sit you down right next to two sweet little old lady's. awful food, awful service, and a really lame atmosphere= mk davis. Do not be a fool like i was and believe all these 5 star reviews. save your self $30 (for two) and go somewhere else. anywhere else.

I am very disappointed with this restaurant. My family rented one of the private rooms for my sisters graduation party. When we got there we found out that they do not have a wheel chair accessible entrance. When I asked one of the waitresses how we were going to get my dad into the restaurant they told us to lift him up the step. I was shocked at their suggestion. My fathers wheelchair is heavy since it is an electronic wheelchair. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager advised that the building is old and they have never had a problem before getting people in wheelchairs inside the location. She said that they have had different types of wheelchairs come inside and most people just lift the person over the step. She said that they were eventually going to make a ramp. All the staff really didn't seem to care. I would not recommend this restaurant.
