Yuk minus four stars if possible. Must be new owners or something. Quality of food WAY DOWN. Dry food, uncooked rice, nasty fatty meat of all types. They def buy low end food to cook. Too bad used to be good.
Not recommended. The food is terrible and all seems to taste the same even though there is a large selection. A few years ago this place was always packed and you had to wait for a table. I went at 6 pm last night and only a quarter of the tables were in use. The service was okay, not great. I was so disappointed in the food. My kids also mentioned that the food tasted funny and did not go back for seconds.
i've been too china sea numerous times! i was never treated with disrespect, never seen an un-clean dish, i enjoy myself every time i go.. the waiters are respectful & they always find a way to make me laugh.. like the other day my friend had her bday dinner there & the waitress was on her job! she cracked a couple jokes & since there were loads of people she kinda got confused on the check, bt she didnt get an attitude she worked thru it with us & we all left happy & full.. im 16 maybe i havent had REAL CHINESE FOOD, bt i have no problem with the food service or cleanliness there... im actually goin today (:
I love good Chinese food. This place has the worse food ever. Everything was very salty, watch out for your high blood pressure! To top it, the service was extremely poor. The servers rather chat than pay attention to your needs. I will never go back to this place again. Visited June 12, 2010.
We hosted a baby shower there over the weekend and the service was very poor. Some people were eating and some were not. The servers were so busy watching to see who was eating that the didn't do anything else. I had to clear the tables so we could remove our tablecloths. The manager wouldn't even talk to us. He stood there ignoring us and didn't want to give me his name. Each party was charged 15% for a tip they didn't even deserve and the sign said 10%, and when I asked for a number or address for their corporate office I got this.I always liked China Sea, but that left a bad taste in my mouth, and first time guests saying they will never come back. Get it together Stanley Chin(manager) and make it right. If you don't like your position then let someone else who cares about their guests do the job. Not very happy.
I love good chinese food,,,too bad they didn't have any. Their food was bland and questionable. (recylcled if you know what I mean) I've had much better at H.E.B'S chinese cafe and at a reasonable price.
I will NOT be going back. Save your cash and go elsewhere.
p.s. I visited on 6/15/09 @ 5:30
First they are not making Honey Walnut Shrimp, my only favorite thing on the menu, anymore because it is too expensive I was told. WHAT? They make like thousands of dollars charging each person an arm and a leg for one stupid buffet. When we arrived at the Thousand Oaks Location we asked the hostess if they were serving it, she said no. The manager walked up and also said they were not serving it (Ming was his name and we were told he has had many complaints and problems, gee I wonder why with his great personality *sarcasm*) so we asked him to call the other location so we could find a place that served it, I am pregant for heaven's sake, but his response was NO. He said we were wasting his time and then ignored us and asked the people behind us if they were ready. So we won't be going back. Customer service stinks as well as the food!!!
