The best hamburger place anywhere. Seriously. When I lived in Houston, it was the place I had to visit every time I came home. Now that I'm back, I make it there whenever I can.

Chris Madrids is the best Hamburger place. Everything on their menu is out of this world. I drive an hour to eat here and it is very well worth the drive. Chris Madrid's menu cannot be duplicated. I don't know what they use for seasoning or what type of bread is used for their buns but they are amazing!!!!!!!!! A Must for everyone.

I know it seems like everyone is on the bandwagon, but they are there for a very good reason. Hot, greasy burgers the way they are meant to be served. To me, there are 2 things that make Chris Madrid's so much better than the rest... 1. This one is easy to spot. They liberally season the patty before they cook it. How do I know that? You can taste the difference. 2. How they do this boggles my mind. They toast the insides of the bun ever so gently to give it a subtle crunch, but the rest of a bun is hot and INCREDIBLY soft. It comes off like a gently steamed bun, but it's toasted on the inside... do they do both? It's the best bun in SA by far.

Their burger are absoultely perfect. The cheddar cheese burger has just the right amount of cheese. The meat is deliciously juicy.

My favorite burger and beer joint anywhere - and I've been to a lot of them around the country. Plywood walls, neon signs and The Flag of the Great State of Texas hanging proudly. The Macho Tostada Burger is a meal all by itself. Bonus: If you are lucky enough to meet Chris Madrid (he's usually there greeting folks) you will meet one of the nicest, most genuine men on the planet. This is a San Antonio Landmark and Institution. A must do for all out of town visitors.

Fun and relaxing while getting a great burger/fries combo that feels good eating along with the relaxed (non stuffy)atmosphere. It is a favorite place for me and my family/friends.

Their chedder burger is overflowing with cheese. Their fries are much better than you'll find in ANY fast food joint.
