Thai Dee Restaurant, San Antonio

We love Thai food almost as much as we love Thai Dee. This restaurant has the authentic taste and flare that Thai food is supposed to have. You can find us there every Friday with all the other regulaurs. Parking is some what limited and I'm not sure if I would describe the place as kid friendly...but it is a family place (if that makes sense). We usually have the green chicken curry, lad na, pad thai, and of course the Thai Fried Rice!!! The cool thing about this place is not only the food and great service, but that you're allowed to bring in your own drinks...saves money!!!

My husband explains how he went back in March 07', but I went back to Texas because now that I'm expecting I miss my family so much! And a family I certainly miss is Chanopol and Toi of Thai Dee. My mouth was just watering after walking in. It was so nice to see both of them again and it was great to be able to eat Tom Kha and Bamee Soba. Delicious! One day we hope to move back to Texas, maybe not SA, but not too far like Austin so we can make occasional weekend trips to see the family, but like I told my family the real reason why we'll go back to SA is because of Thai Dee. I recently had to go back to San Antonio because my Grandfather passed away. It was very sad for the entire family, but I took my father, my Grandmother, and my Uncle and Aunt (who happens to be Thai) to Thai Dee because I really needed something to cheer me up. I think food really helps bring everyone together and I have to say after a year of being away from San Antonio, TX Thai Dee has not lost its touch. My Aunt happily approved of this Thai restaurant and, of course, she is very picky being Thai herself. We all felt like we were eating at one of our family members homes. Chanapol and Toi (the owners) treat you like family and tend to you right away. If you haven't been to Thai Dee I recommend the lunch specials that are very inexpensive. (Call and find out what time they start lunch and what time it ends for you first timers) My family was not familiar with this restaurant, so what I usually do is order a few plates and let eveyone get a big spoonful of every dish to try out. I recommend the Pad Thai, Bamee Soba, Thai Dee Lights, Ginger Chicken, Tom Kha Soup. All of these are simple, but filled with flavor! I can't wait to move back to Texas so I can swing by Thai Dee. (San Diego has dissappointed me with their thai food)

Ive been going to Thai dee for about 6 years and ive never had a bad experience there.Its the best service The husband and Wife or very kind and sweet.Need to check out.

To be honest, I was a little reluctant to try this restaurant because the outside was a little scruffy. But I had heard from several people how good the food was and I am so happy that I gave it a chance. It is cute and very clean inside, the service was friendly, but most importantly-the food was delicious. I have lived in Chicago and San Francisco, both places that are reknowned for their international cuisine and this food was better than any I've had in those cities. Great food and the great value is just an added bonus.

Awsome! I like their lunch deals to try out stuff. I love their Basil Noodle dish.

Cute place. Great food. Good service. Nice price. Get the Vietnamese Spring roll you've never had anything like it! Pure awesome.

It seems that Thai food is the 'IT' food (as far as Asian food is concerned) for San Antonio. Thai restaurants are sprouting everywhere! Thai Dee is one Thai restaurant that almost has it all. Great food, great service, GREAT VALUE, but the atomosphere needs a little work. Thai Dee isn't as colorful or attractive as many of San Antonio's other Thai restaurants, however, the presentation of the food is attractive, colorful, and even artisticly put together.
