Our friends Sarah and Andrew often comment about how much they enjoy Thai Dee so we had to try it. They were right, it's very good. The exterior of the building is nothing special but the quaint interior is pleasant and the staff is warm and welcoming. We brought our own bottle of wine and the server brought a bucket of ice to our table and uncorked our bottle for us. We were pleasantly surprised by generous portions and exceptionally fresh tasting ingredients. Thai Dee is definitely going to be a place that we revisit.

The outside of this restaurant is very deceiving. I cannot tell you how many times I have passed this place and never even considered eating there. I thought it was probably a dirty restaurant with nasty food. BOY was I WRONG! A friend of mine that has been a regular convinced me to go with her for lunch and I was very impressed. The inside is nothing like the outside. It has been remodeled and very clean. The food comes out in big, white, clean plates with steam just rising off of wonderfully smelling food. I haven't asked but it does not taste as if they add MSG. The veggies are bright colored and crisp, fresh-tasting and they give just the right portions. It is a must try for sure!

Different but tasty!: Thai Dee's looks are not what you would find in a 4 star restaurant, but they make up for it with the food and service. And i think those are the only important factors. Great price, great food.

I have been eating at this restaurant for close to seven years now, and let me tell you it is THE BEST Thai restaurant we have been to. I had to cut down from eating there almost everyday, but I do at least have to have my fix at least once a week now. I have tried others in San Antonio, and in Los Angeles and hands down, I prefer Thai Dee. The owners are fabulous and the most humble people you will ever come across. We LOVE Thai Dee!!!!

I have always gone by one rule when trying a new Thai place, always try the Pad Thai first. If that doesn't taste right, then don't bother trying anything else. Well, Thai Dee blew me away. I grew up with a Thai friend, who's mother made the best dishes. I was immediately brought back to sitting at my friend's house, eating her mother's Pad Thai. I could not believe I actually found such a gem of a restaurant. I can't wait to return and try some more dishes.

Dee means Good in Thai. I like the Panang Noodles and add a bowl of jasmine rice. My wife eats the Pad Thai almost every time. Basil noodles, green curry and Khee Mao (sp) is also good. Try them all. Enjoy while you can still get a table. There are more and more people each time we go. Still, even with a growing clientele, the service is much faster than other places. MRH

Knowing a thing or two about Thai food from a thai friend of mine who went to culinary school in Thailand, I didn't think I could find Thai food as delicious and authentic as I've had before. Most Thai restaurants I've visted (especially in San Antonio) have americanized their Thai cuisine. Thai Dee completely surpassed my expectations! And more than lives up to their name of Authentic Thai Cuisine. I felt like I was back in the kitchen of my Thai chef friend enjoying all the amazing flavors thai food has to offer. EXCELLENT!!!!

Stuck between an auto repair shop and a quickie mart with a parking lot full of potholes is a true gem of a restaurant. Even though you'll worry about your car when you park here, the restaurant interior is quite nice. More importantly, the food is great. Complimenting the food is attentive service and reasonable prices. This is clearly one of the best Thai restaurants in San Antonio.

looks can be deceiving, but the cuisine is down home thai goodness. this family owned business is very welcoming and conveniently offers local delivery. the beef salad has a tangy/spicy kick and the fried spring rolls and dipping sauce are absolutely delightful!
