My husband and I went to the 1604 location for the first time today. The food was excellent, very fresh and well seasoned, and our server, Suah, was attentive and knowledgeable, answered all our questions and provided quick service. We were very pleased with the overall experience and will definitely be going back again.
Location @ 1604 & Redland Road:
I have not visited this restaurant beforehand but I've always wanted to, so I came here with 12 guests for my birthday. Let me tell you, the service was the most HORRIBLE experience, especially for my special day.
OUR WAITER WAS VERY RUDE AND IT WAS CLEAR HE DIDN'T CARE TO HELP US MUCH. We asked for multiple things MULTIPLE times, we even had to track him down a few times because he kept disappearing for long periods of time! Mind you, we came around 1PM on a quiet Tuesday afternoon where there was nobody else there! I see why now...
ALSO, THE FOOD WAS COMPLETELY OVERPRICED, and the taste wasn't worth the money! A few of my guests had blackened fish and it was literally BURNT to a crisp! And my pasta had absolutely NO flavor. Our glasses were also left empty for extended periods of time.
Overall, I was completely disappointed. I will absolutely NEVER recommend this place to anybody ever. I had the worst experience, it is not worth the time, or money!
This is an unusual version of Bourbon Street food. Go here expecting to get average food but not anything like true New Orleans fook.
While the food was just average the service was good and the facilities were clean.
We went to location at 1604 & Redland Road and it was wonderful. The food was delicious, the waiters were nice, the atmosphere was great and it was surprisingly affordable!! I would definitely recommend it and I will be going back again!
THE FOOD WAS GOOD. THE WAITER WAS AWFUL. SUNDAY LATE AFTERNOON 9/24/06.
HE BROUGHT US RAW BREAD JUST TO BE SPITEFUL
WE SENT IT BACK AND LEFT. WHY HE WAS ANGRY WITH US, WE DON'T KNOW. HE WAS SCARY. WHAT ELSE DID HE DO TO OUR FOOD. GET RID OF THIS WAITER.
My family and I recently had our monthly dinner out at Bourbon St. Cafe, and I must say we had a MARVELOUS time! The food was good, the prices were reasonable, and the service was some of the best I've ever had. We were greeted by friendly staff and made comfortable from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
