Food is ok, nothing great. The service was lousy. The staff was not friendly. The waitress kept refilling my wife's drink (3 times), yet never brought me another soda or asked if I wanted another drink. Overall, not a good experience and Iwill not be visiting this restaurant again.
I have been going to Shanghai for 20+ years. My family and I followed when they moved from their first location to 'new' Pat Booker 1604 location. The food is wonderful, the service is friendly, and the food comes quick and hot. They have the BEST wonton soup I have ever eaten. When I moved to the other side of town I would drive the 20 minutes just to have their food. Mmmmmm...........yummy. I think I will stop by tonight.
We have been going there off and on for years because their food is off and on literally. The last fewtimes we went, we thought they must have gotten a new cook...everything was great! When we went last Saturday, the food overall was very disappointing -- we both love Hot & Sour Soup...mine was good, but my husband asked me to taste his....it tasted like dishwater....same batch? When our food came, it was not good. We ate a few bites, paid and left.....yy husband says we will vote with our feet and not be back. Will be looking for a good asian restaurant in our area.
I purchased a togo order, the portions were smaller than most of the other chinese restaurants around, and the food was really bland. Not to mention the staff wasnt very friendly either. Last time I dine here, I suggest dragon lake, china garden, or even china moon.
Shang-Hai is a shame!!! I used to love them but their dinner became to unreasonable. They give the same meal size at lunch as they do at dinner but charge you more. I think that's crappy serves. Plus the lady at the register wanted to charge me extra for soy sauce and hot oy...what a joke!
The lemon chicken, sesame chicken and general tso chicken are all my favorites. I have a hard time deciding which one to get when I go. I always have the egg drop soup and egg roll to go along with the chicken. Mmmmmm makes me hungry thinking about it. The prices are very good, too. One can get really full (or take some home for lunch the next day) for great price.
Shang Hai has been my favorite place to eat since i was 10 years old. The food is always great and the portions are always generous. For people that want their dish spicier, just let your server know and they can bring it up to something of a hotter delight. The rangoons are the best in the city and fresh won ton soup tops all. Try it and you will be hooked.
This a great restaurant. Priced well and with very good food. My wife and I move around alot and are big fans of Chinese food. We have eaten at alot of Chinese restaurants (50+) and this one is in the top 10!
Casa Rio was the first restaurant on the River Walk and is still a must if you have never eaten
riverside. With colorful decor, inside and outside seating, and a prime location for people watching, this restaurant is a ...
