Rita's on the River, San Antonio

Food good, service sucked!!! Not worth it

We went in last night and our server was great.. He was attentive but I think he had too many tables but we expected some wait with it being spring break. I will never return however, we were seated on the patio by the outside drink station and while sitting there I noticed one server come with a customers cup, dump the contents and dip it in the ice bin and fill up the drink eww, then one server went to get ice and the white ice bucket was dingy looking and after filling up the bin was placed in front of the trash can. There was an ice scooper bc one server used it but the rest just dipped the cups in the ice.. One server dumped her tea pitchers and scooped them in the ice and put coke in one and water in the other.. Her poor customers were seated inside and didn t know.. I didn t drink my drink needless to say and was hesitant to eat my food.. I will never return.. Oh one server was fixing her hair and then started making drinks yuck yuck yuck

I took my daughter to Rita's on Sunday to help cheer us up after we dropped her father off at the airport for another Military trip. We walked in feeling down. When we left my daughter was in tears. The food is OK..not great. We had a living social deal and the server was rude about it. When I commented on it she became very very rude. I asked for a different server. After this, we were treated so poorly. Another server became abusive and very very hostile towards us. I did notify the manager and weas told that he would deal with it. After he left the same server returned to our table to sneer and spill more negative ick. We will not return and will NOT recommend Rita's to anyone.

The Worst Food ever! AND VERY EXPENSIVE!!! Our bill was over $100, for crappy food!! The queso came out cold at the same time as our dinner, they forgot my kids meals, only one type of enchilada sauce (my guess? because it the food comes FROZEN and they warm it up in the microwave!!!) So gross, I will never come back. My husband liked the Rita. That was the ONLY positive thing about this experience. Oh and the balloon animal guy who entertained the kids while we waited for our table. Waste of time and money!!!

we went to the restaurant last night in one word HORRIBLE service is horrible they make you pay tip (which i didnt pay since the service and food was bad) we ordered the food at 10 exactly the food came at 12:30 AM!!! what the DUCK! this was crappy service and i will never return back ...the food is NOT the best you will enjoy eating taco bell! i give this a one since they make us have a star but really its a no star!!

All I have to say is that Rita's is awesome!!! Those margaritas are so huge and strong!!! Our server was great, we had some laughs. Even though it's on the river and a little touristy the prices weren't bad. I also took a look at their breakfast menu and it was soo cheap. I will definately go for some pancakes and eggs next time. I have been to almost all the restaurants on the river and this one is by far the best Tex-Mex. I would definately recommend this place to anyone looking for great margaritas and good food fajitas and flautas were awesome!!!) Best queso ever!!!

We just came from this restaurant and had a horrible experience. We paid too much for really bad food. It was dirty and it smelled like vomit inside. I would not recommend this place to eat or go for drinks. Our drinks were very water down and the staff was not very friendly. My son had a hamburger and it was a frozen patty that did not take like real beef. It gave him a stomache afterwards. My chicken was also previous frozen and just heated up. So I was pretty disappointed and remorseful for waisting my money there.

Dirty silverware, warm food and slow service. The salsa was good though.

I'm not a drinker but I LOVED the rita!!! really. Me and my honey went in just to get a drink while out on the town and we really enjoyed it there. Great service and great drinks.Will go again! actually tonight.
