This restraunt
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/30/07
is VERY good and has an amazing atmosphere. Everywhere you turn BAM! There is a blast of color. Yes, the restraunt is very very colorful like a fiesta in a box. The food is good, not especialy tasty, yet I always want to go back.

best mexican food ever
By Chad, 7/26/07
This place is simply the best place I have ever eaten at. I wish they had one in Dallas so I could eat there every day. You will not regret eating there.

Mi Tierra - Best coffee in town!
By Corinne, 7/9/07
Mi Tierra has the best coffee and bakery in town. The chiliquillas, chorizo and eggs breakfast are the best but by far the best thing they have are the fresh homemade tortillas with butter! They are open 24 hours a day so when you are all done dancing your butt off - head over a-you never know who you will run into there!

Food over rated
By J J, 6/19/07
The food is over rated. The atmosphere is very good and the sculptured wall in the large dining area is a must see on the Riverwalk

Definitely a place to visit while in San Antonio
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/15/07
The food is delicious with generous portions and very authentic. Arrive early so your wait isn't very long. This restaurant is always crowded! This is an amazing place and a must-see while in San Antonio.

Mi Tierra Cafe did not live up to my expectations
Mi Tierra Cafe did not live up to my expectations, as everyone had talked about this place so highly. Very disappointed, the only thing I liked, were the homemade flour tortillas. Chips were super hard, maybe just on the stale side, and the salsa, I have to agree with other reviews, no distinguish flavor. I'm a Mexican American, and I can make better food than them, I think they lost the recepies and lost the tradition of what true mexican food is. The rice tasted as bad as my wifes home cook rice on a bad day, and the tacos where nothing special either, like taco bell to me. Beans seemed to be out of a can, and last, the service was poor. First the hostess just kind of drag herself to us, not excited, she looked she was going to pass out being on her feet all day I guess. The waiter finally came after six minutes of waiting at the table. Only refilled my ice tea once, never came by to check on us if we were good, and when the food arrived,(in small portions), it was luke warm, you can tell the plates were left under the heat lantern for a minute of two. The bill was over $28.00 dollars for me, my wife, and my 11 yr old daughter! Should of went to a local taqueria near by, would of got my money's worth and better food as well. Will not come back to this place that's for sure.
