Delores Del Rio, San Antonio

This place is a hole! Not family friendly by any means, ate with my parents, wife and kids. Crowded dining area. My wife and kids were never offered drinks, I had to wait 40 minutes for my order to be taken. Staff was very rude. Meat was fatty and pasta was like rubber bands, white sauce no flavor. Everything was way over priced. You have to walk into the kitchen to access the restrooms and they are nasty. I have spent a week an Italy, worked at both a high end Italian restaurant where made everything from scratch and olive garden so I think I no what to expect for a good meal. House band wasn't bad. I think you'd have a better experience if you microwaved a bowl of Chef Boyardee and lit a 20 dollar bill on fire. I just would like to warn people so they don't find themselves having the same nightmare experience I had. I didn't complain when we were there because my dad was treating us and I didn't want to embarrass him.

I took a special friend out to the Dolores Del Rio restaurant.Its a perfect place for a nice romantic evening.The food was delicious.Candle light on each table,very romantic.The service was perfect.Live band excellent.The atmosphere in that restaurant,perfect for a night out.We both love it.Thank you for perfect evening.

I travel to San Antonio to the Riverwalk about once a year and I always stop at Delores Del Rio for dinner. The atmosphere is charged, the food is delicious, and the entertainment is very enjoyable. It's perfect for a date due to the ambiance and fun for a family.

I called Saturday to find out what time they open on Sunday. I was told 5pm. My husband wanted to take me there to celebrate my birthday. We drove from Boerne in the middle of a thunderstorm because my husband wanted to have a romantic dinner at Dolores Del Rio. We arrived at 5:10pm and their door was locked. Finally someone answered the door and instructed us to come back later because he said they were opening at 6 or 630...he wasn't sure. That was rude and I felt degraded. So we ate somewhere else at the Riverwalk and had a wonderful time. I wouldn't recommend Doloros Del Rio to anyone and we didn't even get our foot in the door!

I WENT TO EAT THERE WITH MY DATE AND THE SERVICE WAS NOT THE BEST I HAVE EVER GOTTEN THERE ... THE FOOD WAS THE BEST BUT ALSO THE PRICE WAS TO HIGH AND THE WINE WAS OVERPRICED .....WHEN UR WALKING THRU THE RESTROOM THERE WAS RAT RUNNING THRU THE FLOOR ..TOLD THE MANAGER THAT THERE WAS RATS IN HER PLACE AND SHE WAS RUDE AND SCREAMING ...I WILL NEVER RETURN BACK TO THIS DIRTY PLACE ...????? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CRAZY OWNER

Loved the atmosphere---music & the friendliness of the owner . Its a small place on Riverwalk but loaded with charm. We were there 6days And made a stop there on 3 nights Loved It. Named after an old time great movie star in the late 30,s & 40,s. Something different and worth while the visit

Very poor service, rude waiter, bad food, place is soooooo small, unbelievably ugly and very ungraceful entertainer belly dancing in front of you....i just wonder how you can eat .......ugh........disgusting!!!! Because of the poor service, we left a tip of 18 cents and guess what....the waiter came back for us and threw the $1 on my friend's face. Don't ever make a mistake in dining at this place.......you'll be sorry!

It's small and a little hot if you have to sit too close to the kitchen but the food is wonderful, the staff is quirky and the entertainment is great. We're soon to be regulars!
