Cheddar's Casual Cafe, Beaumont

We eat from Cheddars like twice a month and dont always wanna eat there. It never fails when we get take-out the food is all jacked up. Everything was so nice and neatly packaged. I had the chicken fried steak and my feelings were hurt. the breading wasnt even on the steak it was like a piecce of meat in a batter balloon. And then I flipped it over and there was barely any batter on the other side. It was really overcooked. I was starving,and it was about 11:00 pm so i ate most of it. HELL ITS CHEDDARS, EVEN THE BAD FOOD TASTE PRETTY GOOD. I also had the broccoli and cheese casserole they must have gave me the bottom of the barrell cause i had alot of brown crust like they scraped the pan. Now thats fine when ur at grandmas but not at cheddars. You cant do that kind of stuff at work HOMEGIRL, I KNOW YOU DID THAT ON PURPOSE. My red beans and sausage we wonderful. They made the meal worth keeping, and them dang croissants.

This is a great place to eat. My wife, son, & I have eaten there many times. We've enjoyed it for years!

It was once the best value in Beaumont, steadily going down hill! I went in and ordered a to go meal, including an order of croissants. My meal came out about 15 minutes later, then the bartender had to return to the kitchen for my croissants. When he brought it out, he informed me there were only 2 and I could take it like that or wait another 6 minutes for the next baking. Well, 15 minutes later a manage came out and brought me a single roll. Food is pretty much cold now. No apologies, nothing, Pathetic! Businesses in Beaumont do not survive after a while if the waitstaff is incompetent and the food is mediocre.

Food is good and a good value. Don't try to eat in the bar. Service is non-existent. I waited 40 minutes for my food only to find out the order was never turned in.

Food & service was very good. Four of us had a beer & dinner for $56. Good value. I had the grilled salmon, my wife had talapia (sp?). Our friends had chicken-fried steak & soup & salad. All enjoyed the food. Salmon was especially good.

Great. Good food and huge servings. I had enough leftover for lunch and dinner the next day!

We eat at Chedders at least 3 times a month, their food is grade A and the service is exceptional, to top it all you won't believe the prices, very reasonable. If you go there be sure to try the Monster Cookie for deasert, better have two or three to help you eat it.

Food is great, value is great. The service is not very good. Tends to be slow and the mangers are never seen.

The food at Cheddar's is great and the amount that you get for your money is unbelievable. The service still needs some work, but it is getting better and they are actually getting faster. I only wish they would allow for reservations for special occasions!

Food is good. Front of the house is a mess and this seems to be the norm sadly. I'd hire a front-of-house supervisor with a whip. Management spend most of their time in the kitchen. We waited 25 minutes for a server yesterday and then got up and left. And restaurant was 3/4 empty. Staff gather around the CRT stations and visit and ignore customers. Same is true with concierge stand. Another issue: waiters tend to pad the final bill when paid by credit card and have a habit rounding up bills and shorting change. This aggravates us because we always tip well for even average service. We bite our tongue and go occassionally but get up and leave if ignored and service appears to lax. It's an attitude problem.
