I would never go back

My daughter and I from Hawaii were visiting family in Houston over the Christmas Holiday's. We all decided to take a drive down to Galveston to see the coast. My mother mentioned that while we were on the coast, we should stop at Benno's cajun restaurant for lunch. Six of us entered the restaurant and asked where we could be seated. The busboy mumbled something unintelligible and walked away. We proceeded to the left side of the order counter trying to figure out what the seating procedures were. The person behind the counter who appeared to be a supervisor or manager told us to move to the right side of the counter and line up to order our lunch. After moving to the right side of the counter and reading the menu, my daughter asked the guy behind the counter what was on the cajun seafood plate. He acted like he was being put out and rattled off something that none of my family and I could understand. My daughter and I decided to try the cajun seafood plate anyway and my brother, mother and nephew ordered the oyster po boy. The guy behind the counter acted like he was doing us a favor by taking our order. We paid him, received our order number and went to a table to await our much anticipated cajun lunch. And wait we did. I noticed that at the table beside us the customers were looking around anxiously. The man at the table stood up and walked to the front of the restaurant obviously looking for his meal and returned to sit down, saying something to his wife. After my family and I were seated for approximately twenty minutes, a waitress brought the meals to the table beside us. I am not sure how long the people at the table beside us had been waiting for their meal befor we sat down beside them, however the people that ordered directly befor our party were still waiting for their meal at least fourty-five minutes after we sat down. They also anxiously walked back to the counter asking when their food would be served. About ten minutes later their meals were served. At this point there were only about five tables of customers in the restaurant and we were the only one that had yet to be served. When our meals did arrive, an hour and ten minutes after we ordered them, the waitress said nothing about why there had been such a delay in the meals being served. The food was oily and soggy with not much taste, other than the spices. We were all very disappointed with the food and the service. I noticed that the party at the table beside us left alot of food on their plates after they departed, as did my family, however we took our french fries down to the beach and fed them to the seagulls.
