Di Bella's Italian Restaurant, Galveston

CAUTION NOT PG LANGUAGE SPOKEN HERE!!!!January 21 2011, took my wife out for a special date night to enjoy dinner we try to stay local with the small resturants in town as we are local also. Shocked to have the owner loudly express himself to a table behind us about how rich he was and his private part was three feet long!!! He stayed at the table our entire stay and we had no choice but to listen to his sailor mouth and so loud we could no longer concentrate on our evening out or even enjoy our food. We chose to pay our bill and leave our dinner unfinished, our waiter although was fantastic and tended to our needs and to him we feel sorry he is put in this picture. I feel the owner is as rich as he claims but feel he is lost and sad by his actions, but there is no excuse for being subjected to this verbage from management or more so the owner. Now days a customer is hard to find and even harder to keep we all depend on return customers maybe they have all they need and dont need any new ones. I will rate the food at an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale ten being the best but will rate my total night at an 2 rating due to the SHOCK of the owners disrespect for the customers with his actions and sailor verbage!!!!!!!!!!!! EAR PLUGS SUGGESTED HERE

we ate at dibellas the weekend of the bike rally .trying to support galveston we tried dibellas again after my husband said he didnt like it the first time. the lasagna was bad the sauce was thin and had no taste at all. we live here and will not go there again.

Wonderful. My wife and I had an early dinner before the theater. The food was fantastic. Service was swift and personable. They have a smoking and non-smoking section, separated by enough distance that you don't smell smoke in the non-smoking. They do accept credit cards now but don't tell the WTF? guy he seems like a real jack hole. Only down side is they could use a little more of a beer selection, but if you like wine you have tons of choices. $20 to $25 a plate but you leave full and probably carrying a doggie bag. Thanks for a great evening.

I moved to Galveston for awhile with my hubby that was Born on the Island. He took me to Dibellas and of course we have been several times. It is the best Italian place to go. We have moved away from there and we are going back tomm. just to eat there, that is how awesome the food is. My hubby knows the brothers that owned it but it could have changed by now. Still awesome food. GO EAT THERE!!!!!!!

besides the fact they start off serving you antipasta and the best garlic bread on the island, it serves dishes that always reach the highest of standards. the dim lighting only adds to the ambiance. the food is always good and even better for a special occasion. romantic, delicious, and unique. it is always cooked to perfection. the best food on the island and different from the many chain resturants you'll find there. go there and it'll become part of a family tradition.

That's it. This is a mom and pop restaurant strickly Italian. I went first time had the white lasagna....it was magnificant. I mean it I couldn't believe it.

One of the worst places where I have ever been, it is dim, looks dirty, the food is a mess that pretends to be italian the wine is bad, the light is awful, the maid is nice and efficient but what she has to serve is so bad and so ugly that she can not change my mind about this place. I will never go back. ciao di Bella, you are not bella at all. And on top of everything, prices are.. pricey. forget it.

We had a great time at DiBella's!! The food was great-The service was great-The staff were the best ever and the atmosphere made me feel comfortable, like being at home with a great community atmosphere among the other guests! I will be back. This is the place everyone that lives on the island recommends when I travel here for business, and I see why.
