Got started a day late. Whoops! So we had to drive straight from Toronto to Cavendish, Vermont in one day. We still decided to try the scenic route since it didn't add much to our time and it was a gorgeous day. We went around the north side of Lake Ontario, crossed the border at Prescott, ON/ Ogdensburg, NY. The trees were absolutely beautiful. Then we went south into the Adarondacks. As we got into the hills of the Adarondacks we got more evergreens and a bit less colour but it was still quite nice. Tupper Lake was quite nice (see picture). Flew into the Manchester Regional airport on Friday night. We noticed it was a very nice airport...very small, but with a lot of amenities. Lauren and Emma picked us up at the airport, and then we drove to Hanover, NH, about an hour and a half trip. Couldn't see anything since it was 10 pm, but it was very cold. Lauren had picked up a ton of activity brochures for our trip. We decided to go food-related road tripping, so Vermont seemed to be a more obvious choice. We stopped for muffins and/or bagels at the Dirt Cowboy Cafe, a nice little place in Hanover that seems to be popular with students...
