The food is fair! How many of you like to go into a Restaurant with friendly waitresses and waiters? YES! We all do! We all like a peaceful setting and a relaxing setting. Here at this Restaurant ISN T very friendly hospitality enviroment for customers. There is a few waitresses who need attitude adjustments big time. I have dealt with a waitress there I don t even know--who has been VERY RUDE to us everytime that we have come to this Restaurant. She talks rude to us-instead of nice and friendly. We don t know Why? She threatened us today on a Father s Day Lunch as we were fixing to leave--was her boss there,NO! I already talked to her boss and she was mad about that and she threatened us that she can refuse us service(we haven t done anything to her) she threatened to call the cops(we were trying to eat and enjoy our meal. After she threatened us-we just got up and left from this so called Restaurant. We were treated so INHUMANE BY THIS WAITRESS FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS EVERYTIME WE WENT-SHE CAUSED US TROUBLE ARE TREATED US BAD--SMART MOUTH ATTITUDE-right after we get there and seated:( So How do you think this makes us feel?:( This isn t good for this Restaurant--I don t care how long these owners has had it--CUSTOMERS AREN T SUPPOSE TO GET TREATED LIKE THIS AT ANY RESTAURANT. I do know she needs a ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT~She (waitress is causing alot of customers NOT to come back there because of her attitude! I have talked to alot of ppl who has been there and has complained about NOT GOING BACK THERE ANYMORE FOR HER RUDE BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDE. SHAME ON HER FOR HER ACTIONS--SHE WAITS UNTIL HER REGULARS ARE IN THE ROOM TO CAUSE TROUBLE WITH THE ONE SHE IS RUDE TOO! So it will make her look real good! Those customers weren t there to see her real ugly colors to us today! She ruined everyones nice lunch today in the back dining area with her attitude towards us! What a nice peaceful-relaxed Father s Day Lunch we had today! NOT! RUINED OUR DAY! I have never, ever been THREATENED TO BE refused SERVICE nor have the police called on us as a THREAT BY THIS BLACK HEADED _ _ _ _ _! NO one is going to treat us this away ever again! I ll see to it. She better hope I don t run into her in public either. I m a good person and I want have bullies acting this away to me!
I live in Onalaska and have tried Jerry s a few times. This last time I ordered 2 hamburgers and one order of fries and ended up getting my order and it was soggy bread and 10 slices of onion, and miracle whip that they called mayo. It was 17$ just for the 2 hamburgers and one order of fries. That is ridiculous! This isn t the place to go for good food or good prices. And to top it all off, you would think the woman (if you want to call her that), who owns the place would want to support the local businesses by letting them put their business cards in the restaurant, but no...... she only has her own cards in there. Who does that!? I am not the only person who says this, I work in a store there and everyone who comes into my store says the same thing. Jerry s is nasty and the lady who owns it, it greedy!
Jerry's. Is what it is, and for what it is, Jerry's is Good Eats. Stopped in with my Son on our way to YMCA Camp Cullen. Made sure the waitress knew we were from out of town and received no better or worse service than any of the other patrons. Jerry's plates (from my experience) an above average rendition of typical small town American diner fare: ample portions, well prepared, and conservative in terms of spice or exotic ingredients. If you want it spicy that's what the Tabasco and the black pepper is for. Obviously fresh baked dinner rolls, local funky charm, and pensioners sitting around black coffee and pie talking about fishing; these are the extra elements that set a local diner apart from a Denny's with a good line chef - Jerry's fits that bill very well.
I live in Onalaska and really like Jerry's .... food good, the ladies are good and funny. The BIG and I mean REALLY BIG drawback is if you are a non smoker you will not enjoy your time inside Jerry's........ it seems my wife and I are the only one's in Onalaska that don't smoke. HORRIBLE SMELL.
So for the non smoker I would NOT recommed Jerry's but think you should go to the new Marina Restaurant...great food... great view of the lake and best of all NO SMOKING
Thanks Local Yokel.
The food at Jerry's is really good and they give you a lot of it. The waitresses are all very friendly and on the ball. We eat there at least once a week. When my son, from Humble, comes up he always wants to go there and eat.
Jerrys is an long established venue in this town and one chicken fried steak dinner will make you understand why. It covers the plate. Better be hungry. THE best rolls (baked fresh every shift) and a dessert selection that makes you forget what you came for in the first place. Um-um-good!
Hole in the wall, that does nothing to leave you with any other impression. Indifferent service to non locals, Blah menu cooked to blah standards and then slapped with slighty above average prices. You of course really have no real alternatives short of buying dinner out of a gas station deli counter, and they know it. Could be so much better with just a little effort.
The service is good, the people that work there are nice and the food is very good too. It is a cozy country place to go and have a variety of food to select from seafood to poultry and meats. The decoration is nice with a seasonal touch every season of the year. The prices are good too and Onalaska is a nice place to be, just besides Lake Livingston. Try the country steak with mash potatoes. I love it.
