Seen baked potatoes online so stopped in to be told no they didn t have them so I asked for chicken and they were also out.... What BBQ place doesn t have potatoes and especially chicken. Don t recommend.
Half the time they are out of turkey breast...the only meat I can eat from there.
When I call ahead to ask they to hold me some if there is any left, they won t do it. Won t make an hour drive for a maybe they will have some.
They were rude about it and their food is not near as good as other bar b que places around,. But...they do have good turkey breast if you are lucky enough to get some. Poor customer service.
WE WENT THROUGH THERE IN JULY '05 & AGAIN IN JULY '10. WILL STOP BY FOR LUNCH IN AUGUST AS WE TRAVEL FROM CENTRAL CALIFORNIA TO SAN ANTONIO.
BOTH TIMES WERE WEEKDAYS AT DINNER TIME AND LUNCH.
FOOD HAS ALWAYS BEEN GOOD AND PLENTY. WE USUALLY ORDER TWO COMBO PLATES WITH BRISKIT, SAUSAGE AND CHICKEN WITH TWO SIDES. ME, MY WIFE AND TWO KIDS SHARE. WE HAD LEFTOVERS LAST TIME, AND WE LOVE TO EAT.
OUR TRAVEL RULE IS NO BURGERS OR CHICKEN STRIPS. WE EAT LOCAL QUISINE AND TRY DIFFERENT THINGS. I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S THE BEST BAR-B-QUE BUT IT RANKS UP THERE. STOPPING IN IS A TRADITION TO US.
BOTH OF OUR TRIPS THE STAFF WAS POLITE AND PATIENT WITH US TRAVELERS, IF YOU NEED TIME TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND YOU CAN ALWAYS LET THOSE BEHIND YOU GO AHEAD. WE WILL STOP BY EVERY TRIP. GOOD JOB
If you expect cheerful polite service and consistently good food don't go here. We have eaten here several times and find the wait staff is generally rude and grumpy. The bbq when it is good is alright but other times it is not passable.
We have eaten there several times and the house was packed with happy diners. Best food ever, had potato salad, beans, brisqet, sausage, and chicken. There was a bit of delisous fat in the brisqet, but so what! It is not a lean cut, so what do you expect.
The aroma from way out in parking lot was wonderful. The servers were busy trying fill orders as fast paced as possible due to the long lines, and very full. They were polite but rushed.
My sandwich was pure crap. Two tablespoons of over processed, over salted very dry meat served on a cold bun. For all I know it could have been cat meat. Truly the worst BBQ I've ever had.
I asked for pickles & onions on my sandwich. When I got back out on the highway & opened the bag, the condiments were in separate baggies. I had to pull over just to make my sandwich!
If I wouldn't have been so hungry, I would have thrown it out the window after the first bite. And I thought Bill Millers was bad!
It's good food and a clean place. I'm from the Dallas area, the BBQ is average. The place is clean, easy access, and conveniently located accross the street from the Fuel/McDonald's store. Hey, you are in Junction...choices are few. Happy Hunting.
